The thread title brought a song to mind, only because it has the lyric "shoop" repeated: John Lennon's "Come Together" from the Abbey Road album. (I ain't goin' anywhere near Salt-N-Pepa's "Shoop")
The first line of "Come Together" is an obvious reference to Coach Butch Jones: "Here come old flattop, he come grooving up slowly." It's one of the few songs of the era that even mentions the sport: "He got toe jam football." So I mined the rest of the lyrics for inspiration...
"Joo-Joo Eyeball Defense"
"Monkey Finger D"
"Spinal Crackers"
"Walrus Gumboots"
Well, maybe this wasn't as inspiring as I thought...
toe jam footballs?
