Not going, but will be glued to the TV.
And yes, Ellis will start. Troy doesn't have the best defense, but he blew their doors off for 360 yards in 2.5 quarters.
Our new QB was pretty remarkable in the game against Troy... passing for 360 yards in only 2.5 quarters.
Given what I saw in our first 2 games, I wouldn't necessarily give us a chance. But what I saw in the last 2.5 quarters against Troy was impressive as we came from 23 down to win.
UAB shouldn't have lost the game. Most statistics besides the final score show that UAB actually outplayed FAU. We led until the final 2 minutes of the game... at one point leading by as many as 16pts.
1) UAB threw a pass that got tipped in the air and was intercepted and run back for a TD...
Well I know I'm biased, but I think a UAB-Tennessee game warrants more of a regional telecast (ie, CSS or FSN) since it is actually an inter-state contest rather than an intra-state contest.
Not sure what to expect in this game. Many of our games with you guys have been fairly close, but of...
Your offense will score. I wouldn't worry about that. Our secondary is even weaker than our run defense, so that's one thing that's encouraging a bit to some UAB folks since the passing part of UT's offense seems to be weaker than your run game. However, given the size of our DL and our lack...
I don't know about that. UAB only won about 5 games in 2005. And the 10pts scored against UAB by UT was the 2nd-least of any opponent we played that year. Troy scored 7pts. The 3rd-least points scored on UAB were by Memphis and Marshall (who both scored 20pts).
I will agree that it is...
Well I know it won't happen, but for those of you wanting Fulmer gone, a UAB win on Saturday would almost surely do him in. I don't expect that to happen, but that would likely be the final nail in the coffin.
Besides that, a UAB win would be a way for UT folks to stick it to UAT. UAT...
UAB allowed late scores in both the FAU and Tulsa games. UAB was actually trailing by 8pts against FAU and had driven down deep in FAU territory, but failed to convert a 4th down attempt. FAU took over and scored their final TD with 40 seconds remaining on like a 70+ yard breakaway rush.
UAB...
UAB is much worse off than we were in 2005... particularly on the defensive side. UAB's offense will likely put up some points, however, UT should have little trouble scoring on us as well. Our rush defense is moderately better than our pass defense, but neither is playing very well at all...
