Here is a different statistic that hasn't been mentioned in this thread that I researched myself:

Against Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Auburn since the year 2000, Fulmer's record is 7-17.

With pretty much equal talents as those schools, how pathetic is that record?

Its been rehashed to death. Fulmer for some reason has been granted joe pa or bowden status by the powers that be.

Well I know it won't happen, but for those of you wanting Fulmer gone, a UAB win on Saturday would almost surely do him in. I don't expect that to happen, but that would likely be the final nail in the coffin.

Besides that, a UAB win would be a way for UT folks to stick it to UAT. UAT refuses to play UAB because they're afraid that it will help build up and establish UAB's football program... which would be a direct threat to UAT being just 50-miles from their campus. But since UAT won't give UAB the chance for one of those program-changing wins... UT has.

Again... no school ever really wants to lose, but those of you that are ready to get rid of Fulmer and that hate UAT, a UAB win on Saturday wouldn't be all bad for you.

Right now calling Fulmer mediocre is being kind, I have a feeling after this season we will be calling him a joke. But its ok because thats the standard put in place by Hamilton. As long as we win 7 or 8 games a year thats good enough for UT. I hope Im not right but we are gonna lose to Florida, Auburn, Georgia, and Bama. We have the talent to win those games but in the end our coaching will get us beat and it will be 10 full years without an SEC title.

Welcome back 85! Long time, no see. The last time we saw you guys it was a little too close for comfort. We probably should have seen the omen that we were in for a bad season. I have a feeling that this one will be as bad or worse than that one. Hopefully your scenario won't happen, but if you guys did happen to shock the world it might be the final nail for Foolmer.

While I will never root for a UT loss, it could be something we could look back on as a blessing in disguise!!! NAH I'm Just messin'. We should wear UAB out. :crossfingers::crossfingers:

Mark Howard said on 104.5 the zone this morning that if Fulmer loses to Florida and Georgia this year and doesnt get fired, the AD should lose his job. Get ready for the heat to really get hot next week.

Keep Fulmer. A few years with eight wins or more is better then the uncertainty inherent with coaching changes.

This is the first time I have posted on this website, but I think Fulmer has outlived his usefullness, not to mention he is coachable from another coaches point of view! I am ashamed for the players to have to endure this Gators domination! I think that Fulmer should be fired and get someone that can capture the pride that we as the Vol Nation have in our football team!!

This is ridiculous. I've respected Coach since I can remember, and I love this program as much as anyone. But its over. We are the only SEC team to not get any better over the past 10 YEARS! SC, Bama, Georgia, UK, Ark, Florida, Auburn..... everyone has gotten better, EXCEPT US! The common factor PHILIP FULMER!!! Who's going to want to play for us in the future? Hum? How are we going to lure recruits who we cant assure are already UT faithful? We won't. Honestly, it was Clawson and that WR coach, that got our so far swarm of mediocre recruits. And Chavis? What a joke! The only reason we have had any defense the past couple of years is because we had some really good PLAYERS that have taken things into their own hands. You know, I feel bad for R-Mcoy and EB and Gerald Jones too. These are great player, FAILED by their coaches. Failed. I don't blame Meachem or Jarod for leaving early. Our coach has failed us and our players. Too many times. Too many times. Im sure this has all been said before, but I had to say it again. I love this team too much to see it tainted any further by this staff. .....(int. Crompton, endzone....end of the half.)
