Our talent is mediocre...

Are u talking about the "Stokes" that played against the Tn Tech & Tn St's of the world or the guy last night?..He might make it to the NBA because they draft on what they seeas potential, but he will never have a real impact on a NBA roster with what he is as a player now..I truly believe the majority of money he mades playing basketball will be overseas not in the NBA

You mean the guy last nite that maybe didn't have his best game but still managed a double double, 2 blocked shots and 100% from FT. Yeah, he's sure to play in Europe.

Ok, if that's the case then whose job is it to get the talent? It's the coaches job to recruit it. And don't say Martin hasn't had time, this isn't football.

He can get a double double every game if he wants. He's still undersized and can't jump and is slow. A team will have to really like him to draft him. I hope he gets drafted but I suspect that the closer we get to spring, the further he will fall on draft boards eventually ending up on the 2015 draft boards. His career will be spent in Europe IMO. Hope I'm wrong.

Posters talking about Stokes being a 5-star and saying he should be 'dominating' is exactly what is meant when other posters say fans overestimate our talent. Stokes is a 5-man that is 6'8" with the no wingspan, no advantage in quickness, no touch, and a limited vertical leap. Dominating against college defenders? He could give more effort at times. That is a fact. But there is nothing he can really do to score much more than he is. Next game we play a team with no height or length in the post he will look good again and these posters will say.....look, see him can dominate. Let me know the next time he dominates against a tall, long solid defensive team.

They are playing like they are being coached. Mcrae is the most consistent player so far.

Nearly every team in America has one good player, maybe a couple, like the Vols. If players are talented, they show it on the court. UT is not very talented. Could this team be better with a better coach? No doubt about that. Good coaches are demanding. Martin is not.

Yes, Martin is somewhere between a mediocre and bad coach. But you guys are TOTALLY overrating the talent on this team. UT is not, in fact, very talented. This team has ONE good player--McCrae. That's it. Stokes is the team's second best player, but he's a tweener--a power forward who can only play close to the basket but lacks the size and length and quickness and shooting to be special.

After those two, who? Precisely. Everybody after those two is utterly average. Got a coupla freshmen who might develop into good players--but right now they're just freshmen. See this team for what it is--mediocre talent, mediocre coach that in fact probably won't make the tournament. We've lost to all but one of the decent opponents we've played this year.
We didn't have that much talent CM's first yr. and we finished second in the league.

Apparently being a dick like yourself isn't that hard either. Mistakes happen.

I'm sorry for being a dick, but damn the dude plays on your favorite team you should know how to spell his name. Also it wasn't totally aimed at you I've seen his name spelled just the way you spelled it and it pisses me off because the people who normally spell it that way don't know what the hell they are talking about. You on the other hand, I like what you post and agree with your posts often. I was just using you as an example. Also if I didn't like you as a poster I wouldn't be apologizing cause I am a dick :)
