I agree. I think on the other part, I would have to go with Marshall on the "We Are" bit, judging by the movie and I don't like the big ten

They won't admit it, but all other fans are jealous and wish they had a song as good as Rocky Top.

I'm sure Rocky Top is annoying to some, but it can't be any worse than that Battle Hymn of the Republic ripoff that UGA calls a fight song.

They get annoyed by it because if they are hearing it a lot it probably means we are kicking their a$$

I prefer a million times over to the generic crap that about 95% of the other NCAA schools have.

Yep. Whether you love or hate UT, people know that song is associated with UT.

NO KIDDING. They steal their logo from the Packers, they take their fight song from the Union Army (!), they name their band after the Redcoats of the British Army, and they have the most generic mascot possible. Does UGA have anything original?

(And I've heard drunken frat boys bark like dogs all over this country, so that doesn't count.)

This is hardly a traditional chant or anything, but still worth noting.

I remember during the Todd Helton era, at the baseball games, they would play "Rock and Roll Part 2" by Gary Glitter, and the student section would respond with an immediate "what?" I don't think they play it anymore because he's a convicted pederast, but it was very funny, every time.

We say

"Go Blue!" or "Go 'Cats!"

or if we're really full of p&v, it's

"Cuck the Fards!"

i thought it was broken up in to two groups:

Football season: "Son of a........."

Basket ball season: "Fire Tubby!".

i guess you'll need to get a new one for Bball season huh?:p

I cannot tell you how many times I have heard "Just wait until basketball season".

Just a side note. I don't think they will be looking to rid themselves of Billy Clyde anytime soon. I know they haven't tipped under his tuteledge, but so far he is putting on a darn impressive recruiting clinic.

My Dad told me about one I had never noticed before:

T-E-Double N-E-Double S-Double E- TENNESSEE!

chant rhythmically and repeat.

Some other schools' traditions that bear mentioning:

The Rooster Call is pretty funny if you have ever seen it performed in full by a drunk upstate Carolinian.

Florida's Two-bits is pretty good, if only because it is performed by a 90-year-old man wearing a sweater in 100 degree heat.

From the peanut gallery, I also enjoy the Florida A&M "Rattler Strike". I have always thought they had a great mascot.

The UGA kickoff chant is pretty nifty when performed at Sanford. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DAWGS, Sic 'em! Woofwoofwoofwoofwoofwoofwoof! I know it pissed me off after Mikey Henderson ran back his second kick last year. :banghead2:

Way back in the 50s and 60s, there was another popular chant Cat fans would do when we played the Vols, but typing it here might get me banned or worse.

:)
