Go Vols, The Gator Chomp, Hook 'em Horns, War Eagle, Roll Tide.

I give the Longhorn fans around here the downwards hook 'em. Gets them going.

And the Aggies are good folks. It's a weird yet somewhat cool cult of Aggies thing they have going on, but I give them credit for their fandom. They're some of the nicest fans you'll find.

Must be nice for them being the top dog in the state. Must be driving Texas fans to drink.

The tradition of choosing men instead of an animal as our true symbol, and veterans at that is all I need to separate us from the Chicken, and overgrown lizard fans. But I think the It's great to be a Tennessee Vol diddy with correct rhythm and temp is sufficiently annoying to our opponents....it does the job pretty well. Ultimately we Have Rocky Top.....and that is our signature for the crowd.

I cannot tell you how many times I have heard "Just wait until basketball season".

Just a side note. I don't think they will be looking to rid themselves of Billy Clyde anytime soon. I know they haven't tipped under his tuteledge, but so far he is putting on a darn impressive recruiting clinic.
I miss Billy.

Personally, I have found that our colors are so distinctive that they convey university affiliation long before verbal communication is necessary. On a return trip from Montana, I walked into the airport in Kalispell and a baggage handler spotted my Tennessee orange fleece jacket. Without my saying a word, he said "you guys are a long way from home." That is a powerful statement with respect to brand recognition.

Maybe we could lick our thumbs and make a gesture like wiping a musket sight. If you haven't seen Gary Cooper as Alvin C. York this will not make sense.

You know The Fonz did that in an episode of Happy Days...He was imitating Fess Parker's Davy Crockett.
