What kills me is the Florida fans who think they coined this saying. How about:

I said it's great to be a Tennesee Vol
I said it's great to be an Auburn Tiger
It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine...

Everyone uses it! Even the high schools.

I think there could be some loosely uniform 'Smokey Howl' similar to the the 'woof woof woof' that UGA fans perform after Go Dawgs. Sic 'em.

i got tickets to the 2000 tn/fl game, but they were in the FL section at Neyland......

that is the most annoyed i've ever been at a game.:mad:

i was about to say the same thing. that rooster call was just blaring and hurt my ears (and i was as far away from the field as you could get). the funny thing is, about a week later, i read on si.com that the rooster call was banned after they used it during gameplay

So, who do you think started the "We Are" bit. Penn State or Marshall? How many people do you think would comment on how many time our band plays Rocky Top at a game? It annoys the foes, so I love it. I told a Kentucky fan once who "asked" me to tell the band to not play Rocky Top so much that I had about as much control over that as she did telling her defense to stop us from big plasys which would initiate the tune!

They won't admit it, but all other fans are jealous and wish they had a song as good as Rocky Top.
