There isn't a controversey. Dooley is following both NCAA rules and UT precident.
As a poster on another site, pointed out, "if this really about being closer to his dad, then the school he attends is secondary."
That same poster also pointed out "that Derek Dooley has a pretty good track record of assessing these "pity me" situations, despite tge mians and groans of the players (Douglas, Brown) In Pat Martin's case, he was quite supportive, but he saw through the smokescreen that was covering up deeper issues from the other pkayers".
Arnett is not helping his own cause by attacking Dooley in hus letter and sending tge letter to the media. The NCAA will see right through Arnett's excuse and deny him immediate eligibility.
