what other reasons would there be that would make it ok to release to central michigan but not michigan or michigan state.
.
i'm glad my boss can't tell me i can't quit my job and go anywhere i want.
Because obviously, if he were honest, they would have released him already. And Dooley is a saint
I agree with UT here, but this will be a PR disaster. Arnett and his family are b****es, but I think CDD needs to just let him go. No matter what the true story is, the media is going to latch on to the "dying father" part of it.
Central Michigan is in his hometown. Mich and MichSt are each over an hours drive away. If he is leaving to be near his family, Central Michigan makes by far the most sense. If he's leaving because his coach left and he "doesn't like his role", then he shouldn't be allowed to just renege on his commitment and go where he wants. Central makes the most sense under either scenario.

yes, central michigan is in his hometown. however ann arbor and east lansing are well within commute distance. I drove an 1 1/2 hrs to school 4 days a week for 2 years. it's quite possible. I'm not saying he would live at home and commute (the college i went to the athletes had to live on campus). But he would easily be able get home quickly, while still attending and playing for a BCS school.Central Michigan is in his hometown. Mich and MichSt are each over an hours drive away.
