Arnett to transfer?

In terms of both talent and numbers, I think that wide receiver is our best position on the the team. And tight end is loaded as well. We got targets all over the place.

No?

Right now? No.

2 of our most talented players play that position, but 1 is hurt and the other is in the doghouse. After them, we don't have much. True freshmen aren't going to make an immediate impact 9 times out of 10.

**** like this is what continues to frustrate me as a vol fan. We can bring in talented kids like Aaron Douglass, Janzen Jackson, Bryce Brown, DeAnthony Arnett, ect. and for whatever reason they leave/ find a way to not reach their potential. Im just sick of this.

Right now? We don't have any games "right now". Name a position on the team that is stronger than wide receiver. Now admittedly, I am counting on Rogers and Hunter being there come game time.

I disagree strongly. We have no depth. We have two extremely talented WR's, but not much proven players behind them.

As for other positions, it's kind of a moot point because the entire team lacks depth across the board. That's why we sucked balls and came in last in the SEC East last year. Are we worse off at RB? Sure. But that doesn't mean WR is a "position of strength." Frankly we don't have a single position of strength on the team outside of maybe OL.

sorry to hear about his father. Hope for the best for him and his family. Still a VFL IMO.

It happens at most schools. Especially the ones coming off losing records. We have to remove nine players to make room for the incoming recruiting class. We can sit here and handpick the nine we want to leave. But that ain't how it works...you always going to lose a few good ones from year to year. He needs to be closer to his dad.

We always seem to lose key impact players in the offseason.

Losing DA is yet another big blow to our plans. He's a very talented player who fit in perfectly with what we wanted to do on offense. Dooley yet again cannot catch a freakin break.

Ok, well, I see where you're coming from. Yes, we stink. But in terms of suckiness, we are less sucky are WR than most of the other positions.

I think that is splitting hairs, but yes, I agree our starting WR's are without question a position of strength. I just think our depth at WR is as lacking as any other position on the team.

I agree there...no depth. As you say, no real depth anywhere.

More than anything, I'm just beyond tired of bad news about our football team every week. It seems the ratio is about 1 to 5 for every good news we receive with no end in sight.

im kinda lost on this post... in my opinion and we all have them but i dont get how Dooley cant catch a break in this area.. he had him there this year to use and chose to use ZR instead... not tryin to be a jerk or nothin but i do think it was a mistake to have a good handed receiver sittin there and startin someone that cant catch a cold :dunno:

DA was a true freshman and ZR is a Junior. ZR can run a decent route and knows the offense, he just can't catch the ball. He's the only other guy we have out there with any lick of experience other than JH and DR.

Play the players that give us the best chance to win. I support Dooley but Arnett should have been in 90% of the plays after Hunter's injury and Rogers what is left. Who cares if he runs routes better than Jerry Rice if he can't catch the ball and we all know he can't.

What's the point in running a good route if you can't catch the ball?

Bryce Browns father was supposed to be sick too.

I'm sorry if it's true but I don't see how these kids help their families by giving up their careers -- at 19!
