You're kidding yourself if you think someone moves from South Beach to Tuscaloosa unless the money is right.

Maybe Saban did long to get back in the college game, but he obviously wasn't going to walk away from the Dolphins ontract unless he got something comparable.

...but much more over the length of the contract, all the money being guarenteed, and bonuses that can jack the money up to almost 5 million a year. Dont be naive.

i already heard them on espn saying that they could be a dark horse for the NC next year. that is what happens when you have a great coach.

Just suck it up! If UT was in this position you all would be estatic. Your own members here are the ones wanting a new coach now. When Phil was hired for 200k and unlimited doughnuts 80yrs ago that was top money. Now adays it's different.

I said the pic was for fun and I already stated that just because we have a new coach doent mean were going to win. It will help, but it must translate to the field.

Mal Moore has now immediately placed himself on the same level as Jeremy Foley as a great AD. He thought big and didn't allow himself to be dissuaded. There are some people drawing big salaries in Knoxville who need to take lessons.

I really don't know the answer to that. I speculate that Fran knew he was in for 4 or 5 lousy years and always wanted to coach at A&M anyway...I really can't blame him for leaving. I don't know if Bama had the chance to counter or not...it may not have mattered to him if they did?

Saban just got off the plane. "I want to be in college football, this is a great place. I just wanna shake hands with the fans" but seems like his wife did all the talking she said "I cant wait for gameday to get in the stadium to see them 9200 "red" fans"

roll tide what are you and the other stadium full of bammers gonna do when he says he does not want to see a picture of the bear or mention of twelve national titles anywhere in the stadium?? Or when you cannot interview players coaches or anyone who has anyhing to do with alabama football except Nick Saban. Get ready cuz its coming. He could give a rats behind about what has happened before he took the job. It is HIS house now. Why do you think the press conference is tomorrow? To give the media a chance. To let him buy a red tie????? No this is the first lesson naive bammers, it is HIS way, HIS time frame, HIS world.
