First of all, I don't really get this logic. It has nothing to do with position or role. TS% tells you how efficiently you put the ball in the basket.
Derrick Rose thinks he's a 3-point shooter. He led the Bulls in attempts (385). Deng (who is actually a good 3-point shooter) only took 333.
Boozer should make a significantly higher % of 2-point FGs than Rose due to where he plays on the floor. If Rose is a bad 3-point shooter, which he is, there's no reason for Boozer to be behind him in TS%.
Also, the fact that Deng shot better from 3 (24 feet) than Boozer did from 2 (mostly <5 feet) in that series is pretty embarrassing. Point being, Boozer was terrible on both ends of the floor.
