Well, it's the same taste I get when I think of Nick Stephens or Nick Lamaison taking the field against UT Martin next year.
We do not have an incoming freshman who can start from day one, Newton has proven to be something of a justifiable discipline issue, and Simms just doesn't feel warm and fuzzy inside to me, either. But it's the best we can hope for.
On the recruiting front, Newton recently scheduled his official visit to Mississippi State to check out their annual tilt against Ole Miss.
"Really, I think it will end up being Tennessee and Kansas State for my other two visits," Newton said. "Those teams are all playing big games against top teams every week and I will be visiting them after the season."
Could Cameron Newton really receive an offer from us still? I mean why take an official visit if he thinks we're not still interested in him and such? Why would we even pay for his trip if we weren't interested still? Could the recruiting experts here shed some light? Do we still have interest in Newton?
