The reason it was close was the way we played. they didn't do anything to stop us we did that ourselves. Glad we won we have a lot of work to do before Middle Tennessee.

Boards saved our behind and TBH I love to see it. When you can’t rely on anything else you should be able to rely on your rebounding. Ugly as it is Pat would have liked that lol.

We all know the saying…

‘Offense sells tickets, defense wins games, but rebounding wins championships.’

agreed. she really got lucky with her threes. she is not a three point shooter, but hell she hit em when it counted the most. she needs to play more.

In the half court without a doubt. She moves her feet and really makes the ball handler uncomfortable. She made the most of her minutes tonight. Definitely the energy player of the game with her two threes and two huge oboards down the stretch.

Overanalyzing needs to stop. It’s one game.
Middle Tennessee State is not beating this Tennessee team.
And why speculate about Latham? She is out tonight. Has nothing to do with changing a system based on one player missing a game.
Focus on what matters. A win.

Not taking advantage of the bigs .Need some set plays with some screens to get the ball in the hands of the bigs down low .Our bigs are more comfortable shooting 3's than being roughed up down low

Looks like Belmont only won quarter two and three by 6 against them and they won those quarter by 17 against us. Ace didn't score 14 points in that game. She scored 7 just 1 of 5 from three
