Tony Vitello to SF Giants (Confirmed)

Trying to take my mind off this $hit…If anybody has been to the last 2 scrimmages how does the team look. Who stands out?
I’ve not been there recently but read that Henry Ford continues to crush the baseball and is looking good at 3B and in CF. Blaine Brown great at the plate but mixed results on the mound. Ariel Antigua has been hot at the plate lately as well as Blake Grimmer. Heard great things about freshman Evan Hankins and Manny Marin looks like he’s put on 15lbs of muscle.
Landon Mack, Evan Blanco, Arvidson, Mark Hindy, Bo Rhudy have all shined recently on the mound.

Agree. I don’t but the Danny white argument. Tony could coach TN this yr and then go coach a major program next off season.

His agent Sexton could easily put the word out Tony is “interested” hearing offers and numerous programs would come calling.
Thats Sexton’s job. The concept that Tony all the sudden decided to “go looking” is questionable.

Always is a very long time! I do think Caldwell will be very successful and is making the program very exciting to follow. I’m admittedly biased and think the BaseVols have earned it.
That's not being biased dang Tony is a rockstar. He's made the whole college baseball scene exciting to watch. He's lit the fire in all the SEC fan bases. I do understand DW giving the lady's a big jump start. But you have to keep Tony at basically all cost .

I don't understand why this isn't clear. It's the secondary market. I collect Dooney & Bourke purses. Retail on a purse I may like will be $298. If I choose to pay $800 for it (don't tell my husband) because that's the reseller price, Dooney & Bourke gets nothing from that. Same with any collectible, concert ticket, etc, etc.
While mostly true for tickets, there’s a portion of tickets that many universities retain for dynamic pricing on secondary marketplaces.

And frankly, if the hire was going to be announced today, I honestly don’t think Tony would be out there holding practice. Now he could prove me wrong, but that just doesn’t seem like a Tony thing to do.
Tony’s a worker. He’ll do his job until the last second it’s not his job anymore.

AA seems to crush it every off season but then lays an egg otherwise. Here’s hoping he puts it all together! Thx for the info.

Secondary market varies but I’m comparing SEC games and I’m directionally accurate. Hard to find actual seats at LNS for under $150 for most SEC games. Last season was a softer market at LNS due to bad weather and being in a construction zone.
Might've been better to add all those qualifiers in your original post. Not meaning to go off on you, your takes haven't been bad today, but some people have gone off the deep end posting crap today. I'll stay off for awhile & let y'all post crap.

You could drive home this point until you’re blue in the face, and some just wouldn’t get it.
