Man it ain’t that much different. Players holding out, getting traded. Similar game, different lingo.Go to the pro’s and don’t have to deal with NIL or transfers. Plus more money. It’s the Saban effect, he did not want to talk to kids about money and playing time When recruiting them.
Not necessarily unless they get “one off” contributions which I assume they’ve secured a few commitments this weekend. Keep in mind, Rev share is new money and first time budget allocations tend to be very sensitive discussions. Plus some think NIL may be tougher due to clearinghouse reviews (aka Deloitte). Rumor is LV Basketball received $3M in Rev share for this season. TN baseball was reportedly significantly less. For comparison, I don’t think TN baseball NIL has been anywhere near that number.Does rev share not pale in comparison to big donor nil coffers?
MLB teams are the biggest cheapskates in town. They constantly cry poor even though they are all (even the bad ones) raking in at least 100mil a year. Half of them don't even have payroll that high.I simply can’t imagine a $3 million buyout is going to prevent an organization that made $553 million in 2024 from hiring their guy. If that truly is the only hang up, he’s gone.
Noon which time zone?If we don’t hear by noon tomorrow then it means they definitely haven’t already agreed to a deal. All of this delaying then means the Giants would still be talking, looking at other candidates. They could very well decide to move on their next option instead of waiting for the guy with no experience in the MLBs. There’s some sports psychology at play too. There’s probably plenty of people inside the Giant’s organization who pushed back on the idea of hiring a college coach. The longer it goes, with them seeing their rivals playing for a World Series the more inclined they may become to push harder for a “safer” bet.
It’s almost as if working on the current marriage and its flaws would pay much greater dues than leaving for the floozie at the bar. Quit flirting with an affair TV. Vol or not, you know what to do!If we don’t hear by noon tomorrow then it means they definitely haven’t already agreed to a deal.
