Tony Vitello to SF Giants (Confirmed)

I’m serious…has anyone heard the rumor that one of CTV’s nieces was denied admission to UT? I have zero idea if it’s true but that would just be icing on the cake if true.

Likely just the final stages of negotiation…revised proposals with counters going on both with the Giants and UT. Jimmy Sexton is likely playing both like a drum. BTW, his clients rave about him. Saban trusts him like a brother. Jimmy is the king of college football. It’s very unusual to rep a baseball coach. Of course we know CTV isn’t a typical baseball coach.
Saban and Sexton would look good holding hands falling off the Gay St bridge wearing 400lb concrete shoes. The world couldn't be so lucky!

Yep he said that but the entire landscape of college sports changed when House Settlement was implemented on 7/1/25. With Rev sharing of $20.5M, coaches are scrambling for their respective allocations. Reportedly, LV Basketball received $3M and baseball received much less. CTV knows he needs funds to retain and attract portal talent to UT, or Omaha visits will be harder than ever. The most experienced teams typically make it to Omaha and having $ for key transfers will be more important than ever.
The total $ (nil and rev share) ought to be what matters most. I wonder if those are also way out of wack in Tony’s mind? So hard to fathom that they’re too far apart on this to not keep Tony’s future and the future of this program intertwined. It’s so bright even as it is now.

And I can’t imagine it being better in the pros. Maybe he believes poseys promises and that his self interest will keep him true to those? I doubt it though. At the end of the day, the money ain’t limitless, as much as we all not in the know expect it to be.

If there’s any hold up at all about money on that end, is he really leaving for a better situation? Smh.
Do you know what I believe? I believe it's orchestrated drama. San Francisco knew what Tony's buyout was when they offered him and probably whether or not he'd like to pay it himself.
