is that a clap or a timeout?

Holy cow. 49 million for Franklin. That's a big boy move. Knowles is owed 9 million. I wonder if they'll tab him for interim. These schools are burning up so much money it's obscene.

How is it that Penn State had 49 million to buyout Franklin but couldn't buy him a better roster in the portal?
Due immediately? Reduced if he takes a similar position elsewhere?

😂 I just got done posting it’d be hard to pluck a P4 coach.

But I guess those resources at PSU are a lot more attractive!

I think it has more to do with geographic location. Nebraska is so far from talent. I think they have to greatly overpay for players.

NIL has helped with this but a lot of players still want to play within driving distance.

That was such a weird game. It seemed like we had no idea what they were going to do, which makes sense with the addition/subtraction they had on the coaching staff. There is something about the first week with an interim coach that gets everyone on the team juiced and I am glad we survived it.
This. And Petrino is a good offensive mind. We do have to tighten up that D though. Rather it’s missing Simmons and Thomas on the interior or lacking at S and LB, that run D is soft.

I can't find any mention of any mitigation anywhere. I did see that they also owe him his annual salary this year so the cost to axe him was actually 57 million. That's obscene. How would you feel as a Penn State student accruing crippling debt in student loans and your school just gave a guy 50 million to go on vacation for the rest of his life?
