Cal being in the Atlantic coast conference is just dumb.

They should rename the ACC the Bi-Coastal Conference or the Trans-Continental Conference. The Cal and Stanford clowns will love it.

NIL is booming this year with the rev share coming. Cal has no money for athletics, all about academics there. My son just graduated there this year (Math major). I went to a game and the facilities are pathetic and no one shows up...it looks much worse in person than on TV

Sad that we are at a point where even home state kids are willing to sell out for money. So many of these players are chasing the fast money instead of realizing what building a legacy at a school can do for you in life after football.

Exactly. This guy is missing out on all the perks of being a home state VFL for a quick buck. 2 years from now no one will remember him in Miami. Whereas had he continued to bleed orange and finish as a Vol, 20+ years from now he’d still be remembered and appreciated as a Tennessee Volunteer.

But honestly in today's society of hard cold cash and short term thinking, what does that mean anymore? I am guessing he thinks what maybe $200k difference now is worth more than a lifetime VFL status.

He's prob not gonna do it but if he took the $200K and immediately put it in a Roth IRA he would be set for retirement
