I don’t expect a major portal departures for us. Might be a reserve OL and a reserve LB to keep eye on.

Last I checked, roster number was like 82, I think. Our max for next year is 83. So Nico's departure would put us at 81, meaning we could only add two without dropping anyone. So considering the positions we're possibly targeting, it looks like we'll have to push some bodies into the portal.

F1 announcers mentioned that 18 yr old Japanese F1 driver Yuki Tsunoda owns a new Mercedes that he can't drive in his home country. Looks like Japan has a graduated license, based on age.

Seems wise.

GMac is my guy. Even if Merk is better now, I think GMac has more potential. Personal preference for me is go find a Jr or Sr QB who can start Day 1 from the portal, let Merk and GMac have a year to train and improve, then QB battle it out next year, RS Faizon, ride with GMac for 2-3 years.

It is pure twitter hope at this point afaik.

Bc some thought he might transfer last December. He didn't and seems pretty locked in.

That all said for guys like him, Altmeyer, etc surely the hopes of a bigger stage, potential playoffs, more money would be enticing.

Agree for now, but once Faizon arrives all bets are off. Let the best win out.

Hate to make the comparison in light of Nico leaving, but GMac had always looked like a Nico clone since the first time I saw his film. They're both tall skinny guys that are athletic with strong accurate arms. They look identical when running. I think GMac is probably way ahead of where Nico was as a true freshman because he has a couple more years of playing QB before hitting campus. He's an exciting prospect, but he badly needs another 30 pounds on that stick frame before the season starts.

Merk has been working on a new grip this spring. He’s the better QB.

It’s almost like it’s easier to play when you aren’t working on new mechanics….

People see the shiny new toy and get overhyped. Domady looked like the 2nd coming of Manning during the spring game.

Dormady threw 10 passes in the entirety of the Spring game. Anyone taking anything away from an O&W game is foolish.

10x worse considering they were running 7v7 reportedly this year. Flat out WWE entertainment. Meaningless.
