What a POS

Apparently very common among NIL requirements. At UT and elsewhere. Let's ease off condeming our own players as they apparently do similar.

Probably a lot of poor communication on the other sides too.

Im watching the highlights of the uscjr vs Illinois game and im now on the Luke Altmeyer train.

5th year senior with sec experience. Good mobility. Good arm. Doesn’t panic under pressure - scrambles and keeps his eyes down field. Won’t be a progresss stopper for our young guys. Draft eligible after this season.

I could be wrong but I think this is the type of QB we’re looking at. One year guy who can maybe come in and win the job in fall camp. I’m still iffy on high dollar, has to be named QB1 on day one guys. I think it sends the wrong message to Mark, Mac and Brandon

Something else to consider is whoever we get from the portal could get an extra year with that new rule. (Unless that’s just for basketbal lol)

With how much kids are getting paid, a guy like Altmyer could spend 2 seasons here or do I have that rule completely mixed up?

We gave Nico a RAISE after last year. He was not worth $2M last year and we gave him MORE.

His crew tried to tell us in December that Miami offered him $3M when in reality they didn’t offer half of that.

We are not cheap just because we don’t bend the knee to an average QB who isn’t worth what he thinks he is.

Nico was never given a raise. He’s still on his original contract at Tennessee for 8 million over 3 seasons.

Merk has been working on a new grip this spring. He’s the better QB.

It’s almost like it’s easier to play when you aren’t working on new mechanics….

People see the shiny new toy and get overhyped. Domady looked like the 2nd coming of Manning during the spring game.

I'm not disagreeing with that. I was simply talking about the guy's potential. By the way, Merk's grip change started last season and they've been working on changing GMac's mechanics. I think both did well, but I agree that spring games aren't great measuring sticks...especially with the vanilla offense and the way they mix up the o-line and other guys on the field.
