Rozier will never see the field either...
if we completely whiff on QBs this year and next, he could play out of necessity, but I wouldn't count on us going 2 classes without signing a QB.
Not the case. Kiffin was in office. The dude was slow played.
I haven't seen any confirmation that Kiffin was in his office drawing up plays on the exact day and time that Grayson was on campus....He said he was in the office at the time of the tony basilio interview but that doesnt mean he has been there everyday all day this week...he could have been with the family or had other obligations that he could not get out of. Kiffin is the type of guy that could be in 2 or 3 states in the same day with how much he is on the move. It might have been the day he was running around with some NFL guys. Nobody knows enough to speak in facts
He won't start this year or probably even next year, but if we don't get a good QB in this class, I'd say he has a good chance to start at UT at some point, perhaps 2011.
+1Considering who is left at QB, I think this kid has PLENTY of potential to justify an offer. Everyone has said we want to take 2 QBs this year, so even if the stars align and Scroggins picks us, Garrett could be our #2. Like Ive said before, I have a feeling this kid is going to blow up recruiting wise once he shows good at more camps and has a great SR year....if we wait till then to finally offer he will do us just like Rettig did.
We got an emergency backup in Rozier. Even if CLK brought Lamaison in for depth purposes, he's not just going to bring in someone who has NO chance to compete for a starting spot. If that were the case, CLK would've kept Boyd...ESPECIALLY since Boyd (5*) would've attracted more offensive talent.spot on IMO

He has said time and time again that he does not want to take someone in that he feels will just get beat out and ride the bench by the guys he brings in.
Yet, you're saying he brought Lamaison in for that explicit purpose. How can you reconcile this with CLK's own words?
Kiffin would not of let Boyd practice at QB. He would be so frustrated with a kid who cannot do the little things on a play nor remember the plays nor be able to ever read a D to do a simple audible.
Lamaison can manage a game under Kiffin. I doubt he ever gets the chance but he at least has that hope. I hope you guys are ready for a much improved O. I don't think our O has been as good as it will be this year since Casey Clausen years and maybe before. You guys can roast me if I am wrong but there is a reason Kiffin is so arrogant back in the college game. He knows he owns most of the clowns coaching on the college level. Now UF and Bama those are going to be real tough. Richt might as well quit now. JMO but a strong one.
If they can resurrect Crompton and Stephen's game, you talk about a recruiting tool...and it will serve to get some folks off of Reaves' back.Damn i sure do hope your right. If our o-line does better, then i think our offence will be good. Give him time and we'll see a whole new Jonathan Crompton.

By the way...to step OT just a sec.; anyone know what the status is with Chester McGlockton? I haven't heard his name mentioned in quite some time. Is he still interning this fall, or has he already left the team?
It's funny, the same line (for the most part) that was heralded for keeping Ainge so well protected, is being discarded by their own fans, as now being substandard. With Mitch Browning an Chaney working on the line theres no way we wont be better. Also with the new strength and conditioning program, we wont be a bunch of lard @sses.
