This argument just doesn't fly with me. Look at what CJH did with his offense last year and again this year. We certainly didn't have great players last year and they're only slightly better this year BUT CJH's coaching made us competitive. On the other hand, the defense has been pathetic 2 straight years and has shown very little, if any, improvement. This is just poor coaching and not the lack of Jimmy's and Joe's. Major changes need to happen with the D staff otherwise we will continue to suffer embarrassing loses year after year.

Yep, can't win every game by offense only, defense has to step up and win some. I was concerned when SC scored on its first possession and more so on their 2nd possession. But when they scored on the 3rd and 4th consecutive possession I knew this game was over. TN's high powered offense could not overcome this garbage defense.

The unis had nothing to do with it.....

TN might have had it in their head that all they had to do was show up......

If you can arguably tell me how having an orange helmet prevented any of TNs DBs from looking back to pick up the ball I'm more than willing to listen

That's coaching..... not helmet color

Is it demoralizing hell yeah it is. No moral victories am I disappointed not making the playoff yes I am. But I like to try and look at things positively. I don’t let a game young men play affect me when I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER ANYTHING THEY DO!

This….solely blaming a lack of talent for the defensive woes will keep us mediocre for years to come. A coaching upgrade should not be encouraged but demanded after the season.

I agree but can you at least admit that showing up looking like South Carolina most hated rival on senior night was not well thought out?

Vandy will be favored next week at home coming off two straight SEC victories and all of a sudden TN can't play on the road.

TN's offense has better athletes by far than the defense. Got to recruit better athletes on defense.

I have been on Banks since last year's Kentucky game that TN almost lost......4th and 24 and KY gets an easy first down and came close to pulling off the win. TN high powered offense has made up for lack of defense but tonight the defense was just too bad for the offense to win the game.

Had nothing to do with it......

TN could've showed up wearing purple w/ pink polka dots and played like they did.... the outcome would've been the same
