4 year old and 2 year old here, was in your boat 2-3 years ago, had two under two and thought i would never sleep again
you really won't know what you're in for until you get home. our first didn't feed well, our second was a banshee.
sleep schedule is key, routine is key. pick a time for dinner, then do bath, read 2-3 books, boom call it a night
nice-to-haves: my wife made us do this program called Taking Cara Babies and I'll be damned if it wasn't worth it. Disney+ has been a godsend. Snoo. Airpods Pro for keeping one in while calming baby down at whatever hour, for however long (lol).
when you take the kids out, gotta do man defense. 1 parent/guardian per child. you can do zone, you might be great at it, but that 10% of the time that you can't see/handle both is when something crazy happens
get used to being sick, they bring home all sorts of stuff from daycare. speaking of daycare depending on what city/town you're in i'd go ahead and lock that down. It's brutal in Mid TN.
research a 529 if you haven't yet, pick a good state and use their program. have family/friends donate to those (easy to provide links now) as opposed to junk presents.
happy to answer other questions if you guys have them
