I disagree. It doesn’t belong in this forum. Move to the Pub.

Question for the group.
Vols finish 11-1, make playoffs.
How much is CJH salary next year?
I’ll open bidding at 9 million. What you all think?
I think you don't get stoopid based on 2 seasons. Heupel might have caught lightning in a bottle with Hooker. Let's see how he does with Milton, Nico and TJ. Reasonable bump, but we're masters of paying huge sums to fired coaches. Don't want to be in aTm's situation anytime soon.

It feels like Solon Page is been here so long he was one of those last minute Dooley reaches before NSD

Princeton Fant is close to that. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dooley’s staff was aware of him on some level in 2012. I think he would have been an 8th grader but might have already been on their radar as a potential recruit.

What kind of crowd should we expect the good guys to have in SC this weekend? I would love to minimize the home field advantage with a LSU type crowd from earlier this season.

I don’t disagree, but with other coaches in SEC making so much more, if you don’t lock him up, the wolves will definitely start sniffing around.

No…. We don’t need that addressed at all…. We should have substituted earlier…. The rule already allows the refs to call a penalty on the defense if they determine the defense is coming on the field slow. Any changes to the substitution rule will probably hurt us more than help us.

So, it's subjective just like a PI penalty? I don't see how addressing that rule hurts us. I hardly ever see us substituting that late. I wondered if Small realized he was banged up and asked the coaches to come out.

OFFENSIVE

Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee
  • Playing his final game in Neyland Stadium, Hooker accounted for 405 yards of total offense and four touchdowns as the Vols went undefeated at home with a 66-24 win over Missouri. Mizzou entered the game with the nation's No. 13 total defense (304.1), and Tennessee set a school record with 724 yards of total offense.
  • The 66 points were also the most ever by the Vols in an SEC game, breaking the previous mark of 65 on Nov. 26, 1994. Hooker was 25-of-35 for 355 yards and three touchdowns with no picks in the air. He added 50 yards rushing, a touchdown on the ground and multiple highlight-reel runs, including a 28-yarder.
  • Hooker became the first UT player with 350 or more pass yards, three or more pass touchdowns and a rush touchdown in the same game since Tyler Bray did it vs. Cincinnati on Sept. 10, 2011.
  • Moved into fifth place in UT career touchdown passes with 55, and he also rushed for a touchdown and passed for a touchdown in the same game as a Vol for the ninth time.
  • Fired touchdown passes of 19-yards, 68-yards and 2-yards, while adding a 14-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
  • Hooker moved into second place in the FBS in QB passer rating at 181.81.
I think the one in 1994 was against Vandy. I don't remember all the details, but their team did something to piss us off during pregame warmups and we beat the ever-lovin' dogshit out of them. Fun day.

I want to be able to snow ski, waterski and wakeboard into my 80s if I choose to. I realized as I approached my 60th birthday that I had been overweight (for me, too high body fat %, not enough lean body mass). I have decided that I am leaving my fat 50s behind.

Body weight squats have been a great way for me to lose weight, gain leg strength and endurance without endangering my back. Back surgery in 1992.
Body weight squats allowed me to get in shape for a 60+ mile hiking trip in the mountains of New Mexico at the Philmont Boy Scout High Adventure Camp (with a 60 lb backpack). I did squats then with my backpack at 50 lbs. and body weight only. (Age 57.)

I have a rowing machine that I am addicted to as well.
I lift weights for upper body, but not as often as I want to.

I will not go gently into my older years. I’m going to fight, and play, and enjoy as much as I can. I have partners that tell me that they are getting too old to do the things that I do. They are all 10 years or more younger than I am! Giving up and giving in like that is how you age gracelessly. I just laugh at them. They want to fade away, fine for them. No way in Hell is that gonna happen to me. You act OLD, you get OLD.
Eff that noise.

Aight, suns out guns out in the forum, I see.

I am beyond grateful it was not suns out, buns out.

I initially thought 8. But then looked at rest of SEC coaches pay.
Yeah I mean 7.5 is what I’d think… it would put him around 5th in conference IIRC which would be the target for what he’s currently done here. When we win the Conference championship or something like that as Kirby/Saban has done then that’s when you could put him up there in that category among pay…. Just the smart thing to do Imo
