Spoiled by our high-scoring offense? We didn't start with the ball for one. We scored on our first drive. Our second drive was turnover on downs near field goal range. On those first 2 drives, Hooker was 5/8, which is good for 62.5%. Not bad at all. And he also had a 17-yard run mixed in there. The only criticism I have is taking a sack on 4th down. We did score on our 3rd possession; it just happened to carry over into the 2nd quarter (by 29 seconds). Many QBs can get in a rhythm throughout the course of a game. I don't think it's accurate to say he starts slow though. It's more like he finishes well above average.
Well said.

They seem surprisingly rational, realistic and levelheaded over there (except that it'll be Milton throwing the 75 yard TD if it's Q3 or later).
Seems to me that the real reason we get the Herbstreit/Fowler duo is the lack of good games this coming weekend. Not many compelling matchups at all. And the Vols entertain quite well, too.

No, I dont think so...he saw what we saw, he just CHOSE to try and wait on Keyton to get deep...he wanted the home run ball instead of the first down.

It felt like him and Hyatt weren't their usual selves early in that game with Hooker taking 2 4th down sacks and Hyatt dropping a couple of balls. And we still score 28 points on the #13 defense in the first half alone.

I love this team.

Does it really matter what that little pencil necked geek does. He will go wherever he thinks he can get the most air time or twitter likes. He wants to coach a big time school again....and then move up to the next one and so on until people get tired of his schtich.
He has 0 loyalty if he does. I don't know why an AD bring him in. He is always looking to move up. Miss advantages over Auburn isn't so much to offset the significantly higher expectations. You gotta go 50/50 vs. Bama.

One rule that needs to be evaluated is the substitution rule while the play clock is running. I know that we substituted late (12-14 seconds left on the play clock) which allowed Mizzou to sub. They were smart in slowly coming on the field, but that has to be addressed. I am not sure why we did it late as I think Sampson came in for Small. I heard Tim Irwin discuss it on Hyams' show, too, and he said it needs to be addressed,
