I know TLDR.

I heard this week that if Tennessee was to win the National Championship this year, that would be 4 difference teams from the SEC that has won it over the past 4 years. That is incredible. So that led me down the path of what other conference could even do that. Currently I believe there is none, but you can usually see what conferences could accomplish this feat in the future by looking at the past. For the most part since 1970 there are only 5 conferences and some independents that have won a National Championship. The ACC, BIG10, BIG12, PAC10 & the SEC. Of those conferences, who has had 4 different members win a NC? I looked at what conference the team is currently in and not where they were when they won the NC. Since 1970 only 2 other conferences have had at least 4 members win a NC. The BIG10 (Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Nebraska) and the ACC (Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, Pitt & Clemson). I digress, If you took Nebraska out of the BIG10 discussion it would only be 3 from that conference. Nebraska has not won one since joining the BIG10. So in theory, the only other 2 conferences that could possibly pull off this feat are the BIG10 and the ACC. Now currently that seems like a distinct impossibility.

Other facts. The SEC has had 6 members since 1970 to win a NC (Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Florida & Auburn). In those 52 NC's the SEC has won or at least shared in 20 of those NC's. The PAC10 has had 3 members win a NC since 1970 (Southern Cal, Colorado & Washington). The BIG12 has had only 2 current members win a NC (Texas and Oklahoma).

I guess I can see why she would be scared to pursue this. We are talking about the fanbase that produced Harvey Updyke, the Auburn tree poisoner.
Saban's "extenuating circumstances that we 'won't mention/discuss'" was code for "racial slurs". I'm sure there was definitely fear that her name would get dragged through the mud.

Anybody thinking about storming the field better do it. Saban's complaints did not go unheard. Sankey has already expressed his displeasure to ADs and is moving to force schools to revise policy to prevent incidents involving on-field access. Bama's AD is on the working committee; DW is not.

Sankey's solution mirrors Saban's-- don't hold angry players accountable for hitting fans; force schools to overhaul their security protocols and game management plans to prevent happy students from getting in the players' way. UT is, unsurprisingly, the poster program for this. I'm sure fan-instigated trash throwing will be written into the new protocols, as well.

It's hard not to despise Saban and Alabama.
They can go to hell. The only solution to stopping the mass hysteria of thousands of people field storming is literally murdering kids at the wall of the stands. F THEM BOTH

Texas and Okla will be interesting. They won't like being smaller fish in Saban's pond.

UT just needs to keep improving our power position in the conference. Win the SEC in every marquee sport, then make power moves when we need to. We're right there in FB, MBB, WBB and baseball. Need to fix softball.
The problem is 13 other schools are letting Bama, Saban, and Sankey have their way and dictate things. Those 13 other schools need to stand up to Saban and Sankey and remind Bama they're part of a group.

No. That's what Saban and BAMA fans wanted everyone to think. That girl was nowhere near Burton and Burton hit more than one fan. Regular students and fans don't want the insanity of the Alabama fanbase on them. THAT is the truth.

I doubt she used racial slurs. I'm sure they would make the accusation, but anyone with common sense would see it for what it was.

Alabama fans tried it but you can watch the tape and see she isn't even facing him. But for her, the fight isn't worth it. What I see though is our conference commissioner lacks any balls because this IS the conference's job. Saban should've disciplined Burton and everyone knows it.

Saban holds Sankey's balls.

I hope we win tomorrow. I think we win tomorrow. Heck, I think we win by at least two TDs. But if we don't, I won't love this team any less. What they have done this year is beyond amazing. They've exceeded every expectation. And they've brought happiness back to a fanbase that has suffered for well over a decade. This is what I've been waiting for for so long.

If I wasn't clear, that was my point. It's pretty obvious from the video that she wan't interacting with him. It's also obvious that Saban wanted to plant that seed without blatantly making the accusation. It doubled as an implicit "get out of jail free" card for his player, and a veiled threat for her to let sleeping dogs lie or her life would be ruined.

You could see it coming from a mile away.
