I won’t call it an ‘X’ factor necessarily but I think Paxton Brooks’ leg (or lack there of) could be pivotal. Dude needs to crush it in the end zone every single time. Their KR (who is from TN) is averaging a gawdy 42 yds/return.
I am guessing we will have a plan for that, and not kick it directly to him.

I dont think its that perplexing why Florida is having success in recruiting this year tbh, even with their struggles. Napier has a reputation as a good recruiter and fully 3/4 of their class is from FL. They are almost always going to get theirs, they can just open the front door and sign a Top 10 class.

Its quite astonishing to me how some posters have been in this forum for YEARS and still can't comprehend that.

Or that think if you are having a miracle year on the field the current recruiting class of five stars should all just decommit from their pledged schools and crawl over each other to get to you.

Or better yet even waste their time typing their whining statements about recruiting at all when this staff has proven that their development trumps star rankings.

I'm not mad at these posters. Just disappointed.

You seem butthurt. "Seeing copperheads" is a forum joke. Relax and unclench.
10 years on this forum and I still don’t know the inside jokes I guess. And I still get butthurt by people trying to make me look like a fool, even though nobody knows who I actually am. Guess that makes me the fool.

Why? Whipped Alabama with 2&3 stars…
We actually have quite a few 4 star players. Of the guys getting playing time . The guys that will be getting post season awards were all 4 star or higher except Tillman at some point in their career.
I am only showing the guys that I have seen getting playing time. I may have missed someone. For complete transparency I only looked at 247 composite (I believe it was composite) so some may be 4 stars on other sites.

(2) 5 star D. Wright and McCoy
(17) 4 stars that are getting playing time including Carvin, Keyton, McCollough, R. Harrison, O. Thomas, Baron, Hyatt, Calloway, Mays, Eason, Merrill, West, Pearce, Josephs, Turrentine, Hooker and Milton
(22) 3 stars Banks, Tillman, Warren, Flowers, Lane, Brooks, Beasley, Burrell, Simmons, Slaughter, Holiday, Spraggins, Small, Young, Charles, Wright, Crawford, Hadden, Mitchell, Terry, McGrath, Sampson, White, Williams, Walker and Mincey

19 of the 41 players are 4 star or higher. The more 4 and 5 stars the higher the chance to win.

We’re not punting, and I actually think the short kicks are strategic. It’s always in a corner and short enough that the person catching it has little to no momentum. It has gotten teams all messed up, ie: LSU.

As a kid a black racer ‘raced’ adjacent to me 😂.. it didn’t bite me, but it sure as heck felt like it was chasing me 😂.. I think they are supposed to be ‘good snakes’ but I did not care for it 😂
I stepped on one curled up under leaves in the woods and I felt the ground move under my foot. That snake didn't live much longer because it came after me.

I agree with 99% of what you've said here. My point was that they didn't chase YOU. They were probably startled like you said, and having the rock dropped on them caused them to flee. They weren't after you. They were looking for a place to go.

But, they don't nest. Nesting and denning are NOT the same thing. Nests almost universally refer to a place an animal either lays eggs or raises its young. Its also usually constructed. Snake dens are typically (but not always) communal areas where they brumate together to survive winter. They only use these in cold months and start congregating in those places now. They're typically in larger holes and voids between rocks, boulders, and underground. Then often during warm times of the year multiple snakes can be found hanging out under shelter structures, thus why researchers and enthusiasts put out plywoods, scrap wood, tin sheets etc. Both for shelter during the day and because prey like rodents also use them. The rock you flipped was a shelter spot that several snakes were using. Not a nest. I wasn't saying you didn't see several in one place, just that the place you found them wasn't a "nest" in the biological sense.

The personal attacks aren't warranted. I know my sh*t, and I'm not going to shy away from that. If you don't care for it, put me on ignore.
Fair enough. That said, your post was inflammatory to begin with. So if you don’t expect a spat back, maybe don’t come at people so hard to begin with.

You're telling me, if a genie came to you in June and offered you Tennessee going 8-4 with wins over Pitt, LSU, Florida, and Bama, you wouldn't take it with a smile?

Nope, it would be an evil trick to sucker in the weak and downtrodden.

The true believers are steadfastly holding to

15-0 🤠

get the behind us enki-devil
Don’t make us put you on ignore until after the season.
This seditious nonsense is not helpful for the faint hearted.
Hold strong VN, stay the course.

Not knowing the inside jokes here is like not knowing the full names of all the women on "Housewives of Atlanta", wear it as a badge of honor.

You're a moran and act like Rod Wilkes..............;)

Cottonmouths have the visual acuity of about 12". They don't know what boats are, have terrible vision, and have no ears to hear talking (or screaming). They recognize an object floating in the water, and they like to bask on floating objects. They also associate those things as places fish and frogs like to hang out around. They have very strong senses of smell and could possibly investigate smells of bait or fish you've caught.

They're also inquisitive, so they'll investigate objects they don't recognize. I've stood on a bank and watched one swim directly towards me. Most would conclude that snake was "after" them. When it got close enough to make out what I was it bolted away and hid under a matte of grass.

It's all about perception and having a better understanding of these very misunderstood animals. They're never after you. But instinctual fear and lack of knowledge drives perception.
Just for my information: how do you determine that a cottonmouth is “inquisitive “? That sounds like a made up “fact” to me.

In a studio, I agree.

When the entire stadium is chanting in unison with them, it’s pretty damn cool. You would need to go to a TAMU home game to understand.

I still prefer the raw emotion of Neyland and Vols fans. Nothing compares.
Sounds like Doc is joining the cult....

How do we save him?

Timarron CC in Southlake. Ever want to play there with a bad golfer (me), just let me know…

Will do------I'm a member at The Golf Clubs at The Tribute in The Colony. Two hard golf courses---I'm 74 and play the white tees but both are way too long for me from those tees. Tribute is 6000 yds and Old American is 6300 yds from the white tees but when you factor in the wind coming off Lake Lewisville---it's brutal. The guys, in my group, are 10-15 years younger than me and they go back and forth from the white and blue tees.

I keep threatening to move down to the forward tees but I can't bring myself to do it just yet :):). Let me know if you ever want to punish yourself in the wind :p:p

When they submit a study to a journal, make sure to read the abstracts carefully. You can usually tell the difference between ones that are genuinely curious about the topics they are researching, and the ones who are just trying to shoehorn the data into their preconceived hypotheses.
