Headed to church but wanted to post this for fun:
We beat Bama lose to UGA finish 11-1
UGA beats Bama in SECG both are 11-1
Who is left out of the playoffs? No way they take 3 SEC teams.
Bama with 2 losses would be left out in that situation. If we beat Bama, GA beats us, Bama beats GA in the SEC Championship game. All at 11-1. Then what?

After watching this weekend…I think it should be 1) Ohio St. 2) bama 3) DogA’s until proven who’s gonna continue to play out and wins. A few plays DogA’s lose there game. BumA’s Qb. uncertainties….like a said earlier…that the way this weeks games went. I was glad we didn’t play lol

Ive always preferred Scotch over bourbon, as well...not even close, imo; although, there are some boubons out there i do enjoy. Same as you, especially something like Jack Daniels...waaaaay too sweet.

Straight black coffee here, too. Professor, seems Elvis is the only thing keeping you and me from being the same person. 😉🙂

And the dangly bits, just an assumption on my part…Prof ain’t got ‘em…😳

We need to give Banks a chance to get players in here before we judge him….. we have a talent issue that is getting better every season.
How quickly we forget that two years ago we won 3 games then had the exodus of the best players. Suddenly we should be able to win the super bowl.

Question for any who has followed recruiting closely? We're we after that kid from Texas A&M named Achane?

I've seen him a few times now and if I could poach any RB from another team it would be him, dude is so fast the other team never gets a good shot on him..

It’s funny because the fire a coach every year mentality is what has gotten us into this mess that we are quickly beginning to pull out of.

To me the first sign of cracks in a coaching tenure is when a coach starts firing coaches to “upgrade”. It literally never works out and usually is the beginning of the end. The best teams that win with slightly less talent do so by consistency. Look at Clemson before they began pulling monster classes and out talenting people. They had very little coaching turnover.

I disagree. We have had two recruiting classes. Most starters on the D line and all the starters at linebacker were hold overs. Yet they are playing well. D line is very well coached and the linebackers look much improved. That’s coaching. The DBs look lost and laughable in zone defense. No one takes a man when someone enters their zone and always keep their eyes on the QB instead of players too. That’s poor coaching. I am not sure if that is on Martinez or Banks. But when your DBs look lost so much and you keep calling a scheme that doesn’t fit them, that is a coordinator problem to me. I don’t hate Banks, but if you compare him to a lot of the other DCs on the SEC, you would probably take a lot of the other DC’s. We are paying him handsomely for the 96th rated defense in the nation and we haven’t even played a good offense yet.
We have:
W Burrell 87 rated 3*
K Hadden 85 rated 3*
C Charles 87 rated 3* who the staff prefers at safety
J Mcculough 93 rated 4* who was overrated bc he has a lake of athleticism
T Flowers 85 rated 3*
T Mcfonald 87 rated 3*

1st two classes facing NCAA investigation/ poor reputation as a program our DB recruiting struggled… this year we have 4 DBs committed that are 4* and rated higher than everyone that plays on our team except McCullough.

Regardless what our fans think…. Our staff trusts Burrell more than anyone…. It allowed them to play men and roll our secondary to help Hadden/Charles…. Burrell didn’t play this past Saturday… we are down to literally two CBs that our staff feels comfortable playing right now…. I feel like our defense has exceeded my expectations based on talent so far… they can’t have many games like Saturday…. Need to figure out a plan for that but I am extremely excited about the future.

Clemson fired Steele for Venables just a few years in to “upgrade” their program. Saban has fired a few coordinators/position coaches to upgrade his program wether the purpose was because lack of effectively recruiting or on field performance. Kirby Smart has let go a few of his assistants for the same reasons. Day has fired a few position coaches/ coordinators to upgrade his defense as well.
Not saying fire anyone yet… but make no mistake about it. I don’t think Heupel will be scared to make a move on ANY position coach or coordinator if he thinks it’ll ultimately help the program. This isn’t a black or white discussion here. Common sense

Isn't that special? Finebaum asked who was their biggest rival and Kentucky fan said VOLS, so it makes sense.
What’s interesting to me is we are now beating them in Basketball each season at least splitting the series and they are becoming somewhat relevant in football. It kind of become a fun rivalry in both sports. I honestly don’t despise Kentucky like I do Florida, Bama, OSU or Georgia. I vote for Kentucky if they play Florida, Bama, Georgia, Auburn, OSU.
