I still think it’s a talent issue

I agree with this take. I saw so many times yesterday that all Flowers had to do was make the tackle and it stops them on 3rd or 4th down. I didn’t like the zone coverage but we had to do that to keep our eyes on Richardson in case he ran.

I am optimistic for the future because we are recruiting much more talented backends than we currently have.

Hope someone teaches Hadden how to tackle in the bye week... One play he had a chance to tackle the WR twice in the same play, had both hands on him both times, and couldn't do it, as the WR was on his way to score a TD... A D-1, Power 5 scholarship player should make a tackle, especially if he has 2 chances in one play.

That said, it's becoming a lot harder to compare generations because schemes have progressed so much.

But statistically, HH is on another planet from everyone but/comparable to Manning.
