I don’t think that fact is lost on anyone. This was a glorified scrimmage, and folks are just projecting forward concerns that could surface against real competition. A lot seem to be up in arms about it for some reason? I think everyone is happy with an opening game beatdown of an completely overmatched opponent. Something we’ve had trouble with in the past. A nice change for sure.

It amazes me that so many fans are being chicken little tonight. We played as vanilla as you can. Our D got takeaways and our offense executed almost perfectly. We could have hung 80 tonight and it's hard to pass rush when the QB gets the ball out as fast as their QB did. We are going to be fine. No our defense isn't elite but so what. They don't have to be. Our bread and butter is scoring fast and often. Our D just has to do what they did tonight. Get a few takeaways and bow our necks in the red zone.

Very recent past and you’re right, it is nice to see a team prepared to play.

You have been around long enough to know how this place is. There are always those who just cannot enjoy the simple things. If we would have only won by 39, imagine how bad it would be.

I’m more concerned about them than you are. I feel like we are still a little to finesse for my liking, but I am old school. I feel like it will be fairly tight, but I hope it goes the way you think. That would be a nice statement win on the road if we maul them.

Yup some people enjoy being miserable. In what world is 59-10 not a confidence booster? Heup could cure cancer and they'd bitch about Oncologists being unemployed.

I think one of the things going for us against Pitt is Pitt's offensive line is just not very good. 2.0 yards a carry and gave up like 5 or 6 sacks. Slovis isn't particularly athletic, and they seem to like those more long developing plays as well. I'll almost guarantee we're going to bring a little more pressure against them as well.
