Tony has a lot of young talent to go along with the seasoned veterans and all is well right now, but I can guarantee that some of our fans will be bitching when the Vols get in the meat of the SEC schedule and lose a few games----

Pitching we will face in conference will be different than what we've faced up to this point so I think it should be expected to see the offense look like it's taking a step back...

That said...we'll still get ours...this is a good team and should be a factor all season.

Really hope we land Julian Phillips. Lose Fulk and KC and bring in Edwards and Phillips and we’ll be just fine. Barnes has been great at developing players and getting them to play to their potential

We would have to have one more declare or transfer. Fulky doesn't count towards scholarship for Covid year, so we don't get an extra one with him leaving. I don't think Barnes will run anyone off, but I think Bailey is the most likely candidate - unless Santi or JJJ declare (which I doubt).

I thought Reyna was going to be out, but apparently he got a call up, so I guess he’s ok? There were a couple others that were questionable but also got call ups, so they should be fine.

It’s not as bad as it looked a week and a half ago.

I’ve read about 10 articles the past couple of weeks talking about players being doubtful for the qualifiers. Now it seems like most of them are playing.

Bones break at the same amount of pressure as before. Hearts stop with the same amount of force. Batters will catch up and catchers will adapt but we're probably more likely to see nasty injuries increase when stray balls and fouls happen.

My son is a pitcher at 11 yrs old…. Probably pitches mid 50’s right now…. All he has to do is gain 50 mph in 7 yrs lol

Think of it this way... He's already gained that much when he went from 4 years of age to 11.

I agree, it is very frustrating, but I have conditioned myself by understanding that winning in the NCAA tournament is nothing but a pure crapshoot.

I love Rick Barnes, and I love this team because of their heart and sincere effort to better themselves. This was a talented, yet really flawed team this year. I did not lose sight of that fact despite the tear they went on.

I am disappointed, I would love to win a title, but I understand that you have to put together a consistently 20-25 game winning program and keep putting yourself in that position to even have a chance...and Barnes has done that despite starting his tenure here by taking over a nuked program.

No other coach outside of Pearl in my lifetime has done that, and Pearl was ultimately an embarrassment...Rick Barnes is not and never will be an embarrassment.

He will always put teams like this out there, hard-working teams that are easy to pull for. Ultimately that means more to me than a one-time lucky win at the Roulette wheel.

Bottom line, as fans, did you love this team this year? Did they entertain you? Bring you some happiness? Were you proud as Vol fans to be represented by these young men? I was. Losing sucks, but it happens. No amount of bitching will undo yesterday. There's more than one reason we lost, so trying to pinpoint the blame on one person, even the coach, is stupid. If you're going to continue to bitch about Coach Barnes, offer a solution or just stfu about it.

That’s ridiculous. Our team played hard all year. I had this discussion with another good UT friend recently. Poor execution and poor effort are not mutually exclusive. Fans just can’t admit sometimes that the other team can just play better.

I don’t think you will see as many basketball players go pro unless they are a first round lock. 2nd round isn’t guaranteed and the NIL can offset the money they would receive.
