Doug Matthews said on the Zone earlier that he 100% expects the NCAA to have legislation in place by fall to address players faking injuries. Said he has no idea what that legislation will look like. FWIW.
I'd like to see something that would hold coaches accountable for it. It is a big time problem in CFB

#2 on my list of courses I most want to play
Golf is my game and I had the good fortune to have played in 17 Pro Ams when I was working. I had a great job that afforded me lots of opportunities to play some great courses through business affiliates. If anyone ever tells you golf and business opportunities don't mix----they don't have a clue :):):)

More business deals are done on the golf course than anywhere except maybe a restaurant. Cool experience getting to play in those pro-ams……

Haslam is probably shaking in his boots too. Supposedly, there's documentation that he paid coaches a bonus to tank so Cleveland would be assured of getting the first NFL pick. Not saying it doesn't happen with any team trying to get that first pick but it's dumb to have it on record. This could get ugly for the NFL if this whole issue winds up in court.
So why fire Hue in that third season and why switch tacks and instruct Gregg Williams to start winning? 🤨

That is the Lone Cypress, which is the logo of Pebble Beach, you can not see much of Cypress Point GC from the road, but we could see a lot of Spyglass Hill, Monterey Peninsula and Spanish Bay...you drive right through a lot of those courses on Seventeen Mile Drive.

As a whole, it is the most beautiful golf property I have ever seen.

We actually walked around the first tee and practice green at Pebble for a little while....I wanted to walk down to the area behind the eighteenth, but my knees were killing me by that time. Earlier in the day we had walked all over Point Lobos state park, and Carmel and got out at a lot of the turnouts on Seventeen mile drive, so I was beat.
Playing those courses are on my golf bucket list but the most beautiful golf property I've ever seen is Augusta. It's in an average part of town but when you walk through the gate to the course, it's like heaven on earth. Never seen anything quite like Augusta anywhere.

Chattanooga Christian hired Phil Massey the former Baylor School head coach.

I just talked with my friend in SP and he said they have been in talks with Alcoa's coach since Dec 21 and he is suppose to come and look at some more houses but he feels that that coach is playing them and will end up at Boyd Buchanan.

Anyone see the sick and disturbing story in Memphis yesterday in relation to amber alert? There is so much evil in this world I’m stunned someone could do that to a newborn

Yes, completely unbelievable looking in from the outside. Jimbo comes across as a buffoon. And of course, his commentary is completely self-serving. Yep, you suddenly pulled in the highest ranking class ever simply because they love them some A&M, uhuh.

Interesting. Boyd used to be a small power in the Chattanooga area. Am I correct that their program has never been the same since Akins left some years ago?

RE Jimbo - I really don't understand why this is getting under his skin. NIL is legal. Makes me think that he knows full well that his program (along with a lot of other Texas schools) bent the rules to a breaking point and he doesn't want the attention because attention could turn into discovering things that aren't above board.

I do believe your correct on that. They use to be a powerhouse here and to be honest I can see that being a better fit for him because at single A coach has to do everything and the facilities I am sure would be better at Boyd.

I have played Pebble Beach, Spyglass, and Spanish Bay. My best 4 hole stretch ever was at Pebble with birdie, birdie, par, par. Of course I started with a triple, double bogey, then bogey. 😳When I hit the good holes, the caddie said here we go! And I just started laughing. I shot a 42 on the front 9 snd a 50 on the back 9. On the 18th hole I pulled the hell out of my drive. It was headed to the Pacific. The ocean swell went down and my ball hit an exposed rock face then bounced to the middle of the fairway 😂. Only par I had on the back 9.

My son was 4 when I played Pebble. I brought him a hat. He asked me to take him to play Pebble Beach. I said that I would when he became a teenager. He didn’t say anything about it afterwards. As his 13th birthday approached, I asked him if he wanted to do anything in particular? His response: When are we playing Pebble Beach? 😳 He and I played Spyglass and Spanish Bay but couldn’t get on Pebble yet 😐 You have to stay on property to get guaranteed tee times at Pebble…
