Look at the bright side. You get to express your anger and disappointment, and I doubt you'll have to deal with an onslaught of posters calling you out as being negative and glass half empty.
Weez, I hope you didn’t think I was calling you out! I like you and was trying to explain how the other side feels. I was excited because the glass half empty or full kinda helped me understand why those that want to talk about the bad.

Bass, I never called swain a liar
If you read my post you would see that
I asked how is his word now gospel
I said take what you here from him and anyone else with a grain of salt including Supercuts bc they are no different in saying stuff but have opposite opinions
If you wanna be honest swain called the fanbase liars(threw us under the bus) when talking about the NIL deals to which I was saying people on here know more then what he thinks bc some on here are students, neighbors, friends, parents, etc with current players and hear things before he does

being a past player doesn’t make his word gospel

Take everything you hear from swain, Supercuts and people on here with a grain of salt bc it’s only true 50% of the time

I believe swain as much as I do the people who stated the grumors…..

U less CJH, the university, ESPN, someone of that nature report it, don’t believe it

Hubbs and price are no different, they miss on recruits and we throw them under the bus but now we should believe everything they also say about NIL???
just bc you like it or it fits an agenda doesn’t make it true either

@VolsDoc81TX and others.. have inexplicable localized severe pain in my thigh for about 24 hours now. It is ever so slightly warm, no swelling. There was no sort of trauma or injury to the leg when it happened. My wife is convinced I have a blood clot. Should I go to the ER?
Hi @engineerVOL, I would suggest an ER visit. I have had three blood clots in my lower leg and your symptoms are similar to what I experienced. They put me on Eliquis, which has worked great for me. Unfortunately, I will have to take it forever.

Edit: after each of the first two clots, the doctor decided not to continue the meds after the initial dosing regimen (6mos), but the third clot left us no choice.

Easy there Devo. Y'all gotta keep this to yourselves, or you're gonna spoil the arguments for the "we're stupid because we did this to ourselves" crowd.

I've been in a position of business leadership for over 30 years. In my experience, while people in leadership are certainly fallible, they are frequently making decisions based on information that others don't have. It's rarely as straightforward as it appears to you when looking in from the outside. Not that I would expect that to change anyone's mind, but absolute proclamations of incompetence are kinda silly.
100%.

Reminds me of the whole transfer waiver fiasco while waiting to hear on Solomon. All sorts of theories running wild. Not just us, but all fanbases. Then Tom Mars, the big time attorney that basically ran it for a ton of schools basically comes out and says fans across the country have zero idea of what's really happening and are conplaining about things they themselves made up.

A story as old as time...

Hope everything is ok. Having said that, I love how your wife wants you to go to the ER, and you’re like - hang on, let me get a second opinion from some folks I vaguely know on VolNation.

I never had a problem with college players not getting paid because I viewed it like I do other college students. They're learning their craft, preparing for the real world. They'll make their millions when/if they get to the NFL. That's their career path.

And I won't go down the rabbit hole of how ridiculous it is that non-essential jobs like acting and playing sports earns people millions while essential workers make a pittance in comparison.
🗣
The Law of Effection states that the more lives you affect in an entity you control, in scale and/or magnitude, the richer you will become. The shortened, sanitized vesion is simply: Affect millions and make millions.

A rapper sells millions of songs and is paid millions. A housewife sells a million kitchen gadgets and earns millions. A lottery winner wins millions because millions entered the drawing. Daddy Warbuck’s son inherits millions because
Warbucks Company served millions. A plastic surgeon earns millions because he serves many in magnitude. A star athlete’s agent earns millions because his clients serve millions. Retrace the source of millionaire money and you will find
millions of something.

Effection of scale or magnitude always precedes money, either directly or indirectly. The more lives you impact, directly or indirectly, the more wealth you will attract.

Athletes are a perfect example of Effection (NIL). If you play professional sports, you’re
paid a meteoric intrinsic value. In 2009 Alex Rodriguez signed a $240 million
contract. How exactly is that justified? Simple. The Law of Effection justifies all wealth. Alex Rodriguez, via baseball, entertains millions. He leverages SCALE.
This is the same for any professional athlete. They get paid millions because they entertain millions. A comedian who makes millions laugh gets paid millions.
The corporate executive who facilitates a corporation that services millions gets
paid millions.

I mean it has to be true.

Good rumors = never end up being true
Bad rumors = always end up being true.

That’s the UT way…

Good rumors/positive spin: "can we really trust this information or this source?"
Bad rumors: "These kids are out of control and the program is finished!"

Multiple players have used this strategy. More will. Some we hear about; some we don't. Some put the word out to work the process. Some are just testing the waters to see what they can get.

It's a predictable outcome of an unregulated process. It'll sort itself out. UT isn't losing players the coaches are fully invested in keeping.

How are these contracts constructed? I mean are they just throwing guaranteed money at these players or are these contracts performance based? Like ...okay we will give you this much money up front but you gotta hold your end of the deal and perform on the field...then you get the max pay out.

Getting Jabari Smith or Walker Kessler would have been so huge for us. BHH just wasn't ready unfortunately.

This Auburn v Kentucky game is gooood.

They miss on recruits because recruits change their mind, or because things change, not because they were wrong. Matt literally filmed Water's commitment video to UT. Was he wrong when he said that Walter was leaning UT? No. But Walter went to A&M anyway.

Swain was speaking factually about things he knew to be true. He was not speaking figuratively. Supercuts came on here and stirred up problems based upon his lies. He was called out for it by VQ and by his boss, he is now gone.

Hubbs made strong points on his hour WNML.

*players need to get paid.
*needs to be a central figure in control not named the NCAA.
*NIL, salaries, and money to schools is disjointed. Biggest bully wins. No one likes that.

College football will lose a ton of fans and support when they hit their breaking point. It just isnt fun.

I spoke with my rep and will be making my annual donation soon. But if these guys like Banks hit the portal for more money, I am out. I love the Vols but the main reason I go to these games is to make memories with my son who is in high school. Why should my hard money go to this crap if players are just going to leave because it is all about the money. Why should we be loyal to them if they are just mercenaries like the coaches. I am really getting jaded when I hear guys we have helped who would not have careers and have represented the University poorly want to leave because the money is not enough. My son and I talked it over. 50 yard line west side seats or not will be coming available if these guys like Banks do what they do. And I will not support it any longer. I am about to the breaking point with this crap and McGill is right. Paying five figure donations is not worth it.

You’ve forum quit a number of times and keep coming back. I’m sure you’ll call the rep back and get your tickets once you calmed down.

didnt you just buy a silverado?

btw, make sure the nutsack dangling from hitch doesnt block view of that 'will brake for Roosters' bumper sticker.
Changed my mind. The Silverados are more $. I'm a pour.

I've got the sticker of the guy peeing on the Biden logo. I'm sure when you pull up beside me your "coexist" slogan goes right out the window!
