Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Idiots, In Hamilton county Dr. offices are being over run not because of covid, but because some of the schools are no longer excepting at home test for being out of school. These people get paid to teach our kids folks.
Yeah we are flooded today with kids that aren't any sicker than a typical cold, but schools are freaking out and wanting everyone tested. Of course, at home tests are hard to come by. So, here we are!

Will be a loooong day.

He does get testy, especially when you ask him about his brazen herd immunity theory, which he adamantly maintained we were on the verge of ... in July 2020.
You mean the one that your believed MSM sources are finally embracing?

I only get "testy" because measures were taken which prevented us from reaching the threshold, hence here we are today. Fortunately, your way proved superior, which is why so many fewer people died in 2020 and we now have almost no CV transmission or hospitalization in the U.S.

More billings for your office. Just make some bank off of it like many others are doing.

Depends. Some politicians family member may be selling weed. That means the .gob will be buying it at exorbitant prices and be shipping all over with another politicians shipping company
and the tax money obviously winds up in the pockets of politicians and lobbyists, not road repairs etc

True, true. There's no price on time away from family though. Also, we can't bill for the testing as they are provided by a government grant (still get the normal office visit reimbursement, though).

My spouse works for a company that helped companies get incentives related to COVID. They made an absolute mint the last 2 years. The work hours were crazy though. She just ended up taking an early retirement buyout package.

Yes, they do the screening other point of hire incentives (i.e.incentives related to hiring people on food stamps, unemployed, welfare, veterans, etc.), disaster incentives, and negotiated incentives for companies thar create jobs (such as Illinois EDGE program).

Her old company got bought out last year. They will make money going forward but nothing like they have the past 2 years. She will end up doing small business incentive consulting.

Going forward, there's still going to be refunds available. At first in 2020, you could not get PPP loans and Employee Retention Credit. Congress changed that in early 2021 where you could potentially get both. Pretty much every medical provider probably qualified for Retention Credit for a portion of 2020. So, all those companies can still file refund claims in the next couple of years depending on their PPP paperwork.
