Yeah my wife’s was messed up for months after catching COVID. Who knows what the long term effects of covid and the vaccines will be.

Gaming consoles and smartphones are the culprit here, not a virus.

And it continues to show their first and only look is Covid. Seriously Covid causes diabetes, that's straight up crack smoke. Far more likely kid was already prediabetic, and thus predisposed for Covid, then later became diabetic with Covid changing nothing.

No point being tested now, covid treatment is no different than other flu treatment.
Actually, that's not entirely true. There are several effective antivirals for influenza. Kids that test positive for CV get only Gatorade, vitamins, and a prescription for 5 days of Netflix and XBox Live.

Exactly. Little one was sick last week with a cough and a decent fever(102). We were specifically told “we could test her for covid, but your best bet is to keep the nose sucked out and make sure you hydrate.”

It's a lot more comforting to blame some nefarious outside source for your problems than it is to own the fact that you created them. I see so many fat kids that are clearly products of their parents. A seven year old isn't taking himself to McDonald's or buying sodas for the fridge. They really harped on that kid in VA who died from Covid, talking about how "healthy" she was. She was clearly quite overweight from the pictures. Much like when the local news runs a story about someone in their 30's-40's dying from the covid and the pictures shows the person weighs at least 300 pounds. The pandemic is savaging minority communities because of racism, though it's curious how many minority athletes have tested positive with little or no effects. This pandemic would be an outstanding opportunity for our leadership at all levels to hammer home how obesity dramatically effects your health and lifespan. Instead the common enemy is the unvaccinated, those that question the powers that be, and any official that bucks more authoritarianism.

Mayo Clinic is regularly acknowledged among the very best in the nation in the following specialties: Cancer. Cardiology and heart surgery. Diabetes and endocrinology.

The Mayo Clinic does great work but they are a very liberal organization. Follow the money with their political contributions.

If they do great work then who cares about their politics?

It's their business and they can do what they want. But to pass them off as completely impartial doesn't reflect reality either....

It stinks that in 2022 the first thing when you read something is "What's the angle here?"

So they base treatment on politics or you're just hung up on something meaningless?

No, just saying that when they issue press releases, research, etc, it is fair to assume there might be a political angle to it. Read it, analyze it, etc. but realize there is likely an angle to it.

Our little one was out Monday for a routine doctor’s appointment. Took her to school yesterday and a half hour later they called to come pick her up. Apparently they forgot to tell us she had contact with a kid that tested positive and was put into their protocol to get tested and return two days later or stay home for 10 days. This would’ve been about the 5th Covid test for her in a year so we decided to just let her stay home until next week. She’s already had Covid as we all have but that’s never taken into consideration. We were kinda mad they didn’t tell us before we took her to school but they’re great teachers and apparently it fell between the cracks because she was out Monday.

So you consider research done with a political angle to be "great work"?
