I can tell you this. Until two weeks ago I have had to keep some folks that should have been fired a long time ago, but because of covid and the gov. paying people to stay home, I have had to just bite my lip. For the first time since covid began human resources sent me applications. I received 17 applications in the last two weeks. Last Friday was a long time coming.

Sorry, but I disagree entirely. The government mandate is what influenced the hospital policy, which is politics.

Personal healthcare decisions are apolitical and should be left to the individual and their personal physician(s).

You got me there. Ish is stupid expensive in ohio, but they are already starting to loosen up as people get used to the availability. I'm now allowed to buy 10 ounces and melt tabs, but it is pricey, no doubt. That ole Josh Mandel is gonna make sure he gets his from the sick.

TO BE CLEAR. I was half joking about the smoke as there are several compounds in cannabis that have been shown to help prevent, but I would not recommend trying to stop covid with smoking too much weed. They will probably make it into a pill, and I am fully vaccinated (still no third arm growing except the one in my pants after smoking that j).

Michigan doctor is seeing these 3 diseases show up in kids with COVID-19

Excerpt:

"Where I work, we have seen children develop serious and life-threatening illness due to Covid in three ways," said Dr. Lauren Yagiela. "First, we have seen children develop serious and life-threatening Covid pneumonia. We have also had children develop myocarditis or heart inflammation that causes serious heart dysfunction due to a Covid infection."
"Additionally, we've had numerous children develop a condition called multisystem inflammatory syndrome. This syndrome can occur in children around four weeks after their initial Covid infection.," she added.

She also mentioned kids with other health problems like diabetes and asthma saw their conditions worsen following their Covid infection.

Yagiela said many needed life-saving treatment options or they wouldn't have survived the infection.

Possibly influenced but let's not pretend healthcare facilities weren't already going this way.

Your last sentence is nice but not happening. So many of these decisions are being made without consulting a Dr and are greatly influenced by politics

107 kids hospitalized with COVID in an entire state, big deal. Any mention of their condition? Or, only anecdotal stories with scary explanations of what pneumonia, myocarditis, and MIS are?

It's FIRMLY established that kids are at a fraction of the risk that adults are. Still not a single death in the entire area in 2 years. MIS appears much less likely with this new strain (I have only seen one case, in the original alpha wave). No negative outcomes in our entire practice.

P.S. my partner and I saw about 14 kids with CV this morning alone.

Idiots, In Hamilton county Dr. offices are being over run not because of covid, but because some of the schools are no longer excepting at home test for being out of school. These people get paid to teach our kids folks.
