It ain't over yet----I'm sure Heupel is not going anywhere but lots of people are looking for competent assistants and we appear to have some on our staffAlright, I'm ready for all these changes and musical chairs to benefit us. Someone not directly related to a coaching change(s) will win this off-season just because of the shakeups disturbing the modern program tiers.
May as well be us.
QBs will be actually sliding motion and will start getting lit up because defensive players are not going to want to take the chance. It was a nice move but nothing good will come from this. imoIt was an obvious slide fake. Everything appeared as he was setting up a slide beginning several steps before the fake. His body posture, gate, and the foot drag all indicated slide, then he opted out at the last second.
And to add, even though he's from TN, he thought he was "too good" for the TN job. I hope we stomp the Gators under Heupel.I keep hoping that the generally negative eval around here regarding the Napier hire is right. We all want other SEC teams weak while we rebuild the empire. This quote from an ESPN piece gives me hope that the job is too big for him. It's a really Lyle Butch Jones move to start your career by borrowing cred from Saban.

Lebby surely helped gain even more traction of the system at UCF but it all started at OU and Mizzou and especially when Heupel hired Joe Jon Finley at Mizzou. Remember reading an article talking about how Heupel started introducing isolated pieces from Briles schemes at OU but he dived further into it when he went to Utah State and then even more at Mizzou. I’ve always thought Heupels system leaned more towards Briles system but still with some air raid influence at times.. but I’m definitely not an Xs and Os guru so that’s just my unqualified opinion.
