Sometimes our instincts and habits fail us, so I am inclined to second chances. I was in Knoxville in the late 80's and a bit of an older student because I had done a military gig. So I've had enough study to know this is true. It's been broached now but a couple of days ago I was considering a post asking the question which WR should we start running in the QB rotation. If HH is out and HB gets the start JM needs do stay engaged because I suspect one way or another he'd be call upon to finish the game out. I mean for Bama., probably UGA too. I think it's a reasonable question: does JM get another go when playing with house money. Thing is the gerbile repartee was ongoing when I was up in Knoxville back in the day.I laughed.
Listen, I'm like you, I trust Heupel with however it shakes out...the guy has forgotten more football than I'll ever know; also, he sees the players each and every day. However, no one will EVER convince me that Milton didn't step out of bounds with the sole purpose of not getting lit up. He knew exactly how much time was left (he looked at the clock a couple of times!); that, coupled with what I've seen out of him since Bowling Green...the kid is timid, and ABSOLUTELY does not like contact; and, anyone who doesn't see that is either blind, or ignorant of the game...or, petting stress animals.
That game had the feel of an old NWA wrestling match designed to drive the home crowd crazy in the kayfabe era. Lane was like Jim Cornette bringing the Midnight Express into town to take on the Rock and Roll Express. He distracts the referees when we have Beautiful Bobby pinned, hits Ricky Morton over the head with his loaded tennis racket when the ref isn’t looking, and sneaks out of town with the win as the home crowd pelts him with garbage. Could have done the whole thing over at the Knoxville Coliseum.what would have been really ugly would have been if they had ruled the game a forfeit which they threatened during the long delay. When they said that I thought oh man....this may turn into a WWE type finish. Made me think that it would be a good time for the officials to review the life and times of General Custer.
I listened to the VQ podcast earlier and Rob Lewis said PFF has Hooker as a top 10 QB in the nation. Wow. Heupel is having a much bigger impact than I ever suspected.
Wait. The media hyperventilates and exaggerates? Next you're gonna tells us Pro Wrestling is fake.Kiffin is going to get a lot of mileage out of that golf ball. He's behaving like a colossal jerk, even by his own standards.
The media makes it sound like it was raining golf balls and mustard bottles.
Somehow, even though they should know better, Lane has become a darling of the blue check sportswriter crowd.Kiffin is going to get a lot of mileage out of that golf ball. He's behaving like a colossal jerk, even by his own standards.

What’s the best TV for a room with a bunch of ambient light (that can’t be blocked). Also don’t want to break the bank.
Thanks in advance![]()

I've thought all year that was the desire for HB. And I don't think it's even that he's not got the arm talent or mental capability, I think he's just not in good enough shape to run the high tempo offense the way the staff wants. (this is pure speculation by me) So they'd rather him have a RS year to learn the offense as well as get in better shape. If he stays and doesn't portal out you'll be seeing a very wide open QB competition next year even if Hooker & Milton stay.
I think at least one, maybe two, will portal out and CJH will portal shop for a QB he thinks is a better fit for his system. Jackson is going to need time to develop. But there are plenty of games left this year for our backups to show what they can do.
It’s so wild because it’s not just misevaluating the QB position. When you recruit at that level you shouldn't lose to vastly outmanned teams anymore.
I mean, if I was Kiffin I'd save the golfball forever. Put it on his desk/bookshelf and post about it on Twitter. Maybe even give it a Wilson alter ego.Kiffin is going to get a lot of mileage out of that golf ball. He's behaving like a colossal jerk, even by his own standards.

I don’t even think it hit him. Maybe bounced into him.![]()
