I love it. Now that game is over, glad we were complacent in the 2nd half… hope Beamer there a good long while.

Some of the guys that didn't play Saturday were dressed and ready to go in if we had to have them. And some that are being managed did go in. We're going to be managing key guys the rest of the season and some will be playing through nagging injuries. Getting the wins early helps us and getting a W against Ole Miss at home would help even more. Tough SEC stretch ahead with some challenging road games.

That Bye week can't get here soon enough, but its also at a really good time to get healthy for the stretch run.

A lot of speculation nationally on how high the scoring will get. I’ve seen some brain dead takes saying that Ole Miss will blow us out. I’m pretty sure those people just have an idea of what Tennessee is and haven’t watched a single game outside of the Florida one on prime time. The rest tend to think that the last person with the ball will win

I've told my wife I have always wanted to do a podcast that tell the stories of my family members. The guy I picked up used to remodel strip clubs as a profession back in the day as well.

I will tell one more and end it. My mom is the 3rd youngest of 13 kids. When my oldest aunt died, my uncle, who was one year 1 year younger, told me that when she was 13, 4 of the older kids went to pick strawberries on the back of a canvas style box truck. There was a man that tried to sexually assault one of the younger boys, who confirmed the story. The truck was doing 40 or so down a gravel road, she hit him with a tobacco stick and when he stood up she jumped up and kicked the guy off of the truck. He landed on his head on the edge of the road and rolled off the road and into the woods and they are 90% sure he died that day. He was from their neighborhood and they never saw him again and people thought he just left. They told the driver he jumped off the truck when it slowed down further back. It was never mentioned by anyone in the family again until the day of her funeral. She died at the age of 65.

Not sure we're going to get fully healthy. We're going to have to manage PT and rely on rotational guys to step up. And some guys will be gutting it out in close games. The bye week and resting guys when we can will help. Need to keep Hooker and our key playmakers healthy for sure.

Totally agree. It's a situation where I wish it was like it used to be and we played Kentucky at the end of the year. Would be nice to have a Bye week, South Alabama, Vandy and THEN Kentucky....give most guys 3 weeks to rest and heal up as much as they can. But alas.....and yes, I know we have Georgia in there too :)

i've got absolutely no feel for this game. i've watched ole miss a couple times this year and thought their offense was as potent as any in college football. i also thought their D didn't look nearly as bad as they're being made out to be right now. my bvs is keeping me from truly believing we can replicate our offensive and defensive success against any non-basement dwelling SEC team, but i didn't think we'd blow SCAR and MIZZOU out like we did, either. i'm cautiously pessimistic!
