Lol

In line at a bagel shop downtown and two guys in front of me wearing UK jerseys talking about the game. These two honestly think they can go undefeated and win.

“UGA can’t score on our defense and their defense hasn’t played anyone good yet” lol
Self delusion is the strongest drug

Ticket availability is limited this weekend for Carolina as of today… first few home games ticket availability was “good” and that put us at 80k and 84k or whatever it was… I think we could see 92k or more in the stadium this weekend and possibly a full sellout of Ole Miss game the following week

How many times have we seen/heard players say stuff like Evans leading up to a game? "I think we're gonna have a lot of fun." And then nothing really comes of it or it blows up in our face.

I'm not saying we should act like we won a marathon because we walked over a Welcome mat, but I do think this is indicative of players believing in their preparation. To have the confidence in what you are seeing, then what you are planning, to know that you are going to go out and take command. Jennings would say things, but they weren't really rooted in prep, more competitive. Sometimes we would get talking tracks from Dobbs about prep. This seemed different.

I have been pleasantly surprised with our preparation and planning going into games. The architecture of a winning strategy was there vs Pitt. The winning plays have been there in other games, just not the execution. Things feel like they're starting to click and guys are buying in.

My thing is, we are getting better every week. As long as we avoid the injury bug we'll be playing our best ball in November. If so, and the offense is really clicking, we'll beat UK handily. Their offense is terrible and they won't be able to score with us. People are not giving our defense enough credit. Our defense is actually good and are getting better. Linebackers just had their best game. We also get them after a bye.
gettign them after the bye is very important imo.

i'm not really scared of anyone left on our schedule. we're not beating Bama or Georgia, so nothing's changed there. Ole Miss and UK look more beatable than they did 2 weeks ago.

i still don't see 8-4, we'll drop a game before it's all said and done. but i feel like 7-5 isn't out of the question now, whereas i thought 6-6 would be miraculous after losing to Pitt.

if nothing else, we at least showed the rest of the beatable schedule what we're capable of, and that you better not take TN lightly. lol.

How can you take a team that has somewhat less talent and win against better teams ............SYSTEM. SYSTEM will also attract better players because they know what that SYSTEM can do for their futures. SYSTEMS must be upgraded and tweeked to stay ahead of the competition but a proven adaptable system can bring GREAT RESULTS. I think we have a coach with a SYSTEM that works, and who has and appears will, adapt it to match his players and their skill sets..........kinda fun to watch ain't it.

Morals are subjective for individuals, not collective groups.
I think it’s even more subjective for a collective. For an individual, you can narrow it down pretty easily. But for a team you could have many different beliefs religiously and politically to make it harder.
Nah but being a cheating, narcissistic, lying dickweed isn't the best example for 18 year olds either, never forget that Aaron Hernandez came out of this dude's program
I don’t know if we can blame him for that. I doubt he did anything to make him a murderer that wasn’t already within him.

I think the South Carolina game will be much tougher than people are thinking. They still have a decent defense.
eh. they're better than Missouri's defense. not as good as Pitt's or Florida's.

avoid turning it over, and they're pretty average. but they do have better players than Missouri, so i don't see another 700 yard game or 60+ points.

but if we get up a couple possessions, it's gonna be hard for them to keep up, they'll have to do things offensively they won't want to do.

and their offense is not very good.....which can be a good thing for our defense who is gaining some confidence now. USCe is not a very good football team. i felt more confident about beating USCe than i did Missouri, before we played missouri obviously. lol.

but these games typically never go according to the script, so i won't be shocked if it's a better game than i think it will be/should be. to me, this game is simply about avoiding the mistakes that end drives and give them more opportunities than they should have with the ball.

I don't see how this game this weekend is close. SC does have a better defense than Mizzou, but their offense is far worse. They are anemic on offense. They barely beat Troy and ECU. We're going to blow them out and they will quit just like Mizzou did. I'm still predicting 42-13 but it wouldn't surprise me if they don't score a touchdown.
the only way it is, is if the mistake prone team of the first 3 weeks shows back up. if that team is put to bed, and the new shiny version shows up....gonna be bbq chicken for dinner.

He's living up to his name... Mehlen
He’s been so close to making me eat crow but I’ll be danged if he doesn’t just keep proving my original point that he would have a marginal improvement at Florida mostly based on recruiting base. Beats who he should, sometimes doesn’t, and that’s about it

Which is why he wouldn’t have done much here. He would have never recruited well here and his ceiling would have been like 8 games at Tn

According to Hubbs, Banks was like 2nd or 3rd on the list, and he turned us down. So we interviewed 97 more candidates, and then circled back to Banks and offered all the monies and he took it.

Todd Orlando(boy does he regret the decision, Washington and Banks were the top 3 targets. Banks was going to be who Franklin brought as DC if he came to TN. Which is how Banks got on our radar. Glad we came back and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. What a hire he has turned out to be. Great staff overall so many solid defensive minds with a lot of coordinating experience.

It’s is crazy what this staff is doing with guys people wrote off. Solon Page with two starts…Banks looks like a NFL LB, Beasley goes from accused of killing a cat to a playmaking Lb. what a job by BJM. Would love to see Apache get more run as he is a missle. Theo looks like a NFL player now. Butler move to DT likely makes him some future money with how he is playing.

On offense… freaking Ollie Lane and Kingston Harris have started games. Jacob Warren could find himself becoming a NfL roster guy. Crazy what this staff is doing. Love the adjustments. Don’t just sit around and wonder how to get more
People involved they just do it. Moving Velus to slot since Hyatt and Callaway not trustworthy catching the ball to use their speed. Get the ball to the guy that catches it each time.
