We have two un-winnable games going forward. Ole miss is a winnable game with the way our defense is playing. We have them at home and their defense is atrocious. Would love to see us beat Kiffin in year 1 under Heup. The heads of many Vol fans would explode because Heup beat their hero in year 1

that game could be a track meet for real.

and winning that game would be a very nice feather in our cap. obviously Ole Miss is gonna be favored in that game, but throw in TN beating Kiffin, and that becomes noteworthy in and of itself.....and could be the most important game in terms of recruiting the mid south.

UK, well they'll be favored for sure. their defensive line is a problem. kinda want that to be a noon kick too. lol.

yup. which, to their credit, they've done all year, at least in terms of getting turnovers. so ball security and playing mistake free is at the top of the list...do that, we win.

Was relieved to see they were from the FF, honestly. But soon, their threads aren't even going to have replies. People are just starting another thread to answer the previous thread:

I corrected my post. I didn’t get in trouble I got an explanation that it had originated in the RF. Although there were so many FF guys in there I still don’t know if that’s true lol but it is what it is.

Hard not to be excited about the direction this team is going. Nice to see players being coached....playing hard and with confidence. With all the changes and attrition since Pruitt and co. were let go....aside from the obvious depth issue, I really can’t think of a single player lost(transfers) that would make this team better at the moment. We are better at QB...better at RB....better at DL...better at LB (yes, we really are)....and most importantly, we are better at HC. One of the most impressive jobs done by Heupel to date....ridding this program of the cancer cultivated by the Pruitt regime. It’s very obvious the buy-in...the cohesiveness this team has.

This team will continue to grow...should be 4-1....we are better than Pitt. Looking forward to the Ole Miss game...huge opportunity to grab some attention nationally and on the recruiting trail. If this team comes hungry(and they will) and hits on all cylinders, ala this past Saturday, we will win this game....and what a huge shot in the arm it will be for this program. 8-4 is doable.

Better coached at LB, but I don't think the guys playing are more talented than Henry or Crouch. And if we had both of them still here I think the Pitt game and possible the Florida game have different outcomes.

My thing is, we are getting better every week. As long as we avoid the injury bug we'll be playing our best ball in November. If so, and the offense is really clicking, we'll beat UK handily. Their offense is terrible and they won't be able to score with us. People are not giving our defense enough credit. Our defense is actually good and are getting better. Linebackers just had their best game. We also get them after a bye.

Explain how we aren’t. We have 3 stars actually playing at full speed at the LB position....not looking lost in pass coverage. I don’t care about the recruiting stars of Crouch and Toot.

Yeah, idk about all of them but the few that I opened had like 15 straight ff posters, then a sudden switch to replies by folks in the RF.

That interception of his was something of beauty. No one really mentioned it but if you go back and watch that play, Banks is playing middle contain, he checks to make sure no one is in his zone and immediately breaks towards that receiver and the Mizzou QB never saw him.

Not only that, he soft hands that thing while completely turning his body in midair and then managed to run it to the 1 yd line.

That play was about as athletic of a play I’ve seen out of any of our defenders.

If we win 8 games this year, beating Ole Miss and KY, we're going to be kicking ourselves hard over that Pitt loss and maybe even Fl. Both of those were winnable games things just hadn't clicked for us yet. But that will show a lot of promise in year 1.

We are way better coached that is correct, but Too Too would be starting with Banks if he was still here. You are holding the coaching against Too and Crouch when they would be much better under this staff. We would be better with them but they left so IDGAF about then anymore. But we would be better with them.
