Not sure why it's such a big deal that some of us would like to know who our coaches are? Also don't understand the benefit of waiting to announce the staff all at once? Clearly, some of his former UCF staff have followed CJH. I have zero problem with that. Why don't we just announce who they are? I agree there are certain things that should be kept secret. I'm not sure I understand the need to keep everything secret. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Personally, I just find some of this hush-hush, it's a secret a little over-the-top and a bit alienating. I'm not sure how keeping your staff secret actually builds culture.

With this attitude toward hires, I wonder what the attitude toward media access will be for practice.

Pruitt was already extremely restrictive. It might be even worse now.

JH wasn't super secretive about practice at UCF. On field vs off field access are 2 different things.

That really is the big question. Do we or do we not have a DC? People are assuming we're just waiting to announce, but it's equally possible JH hasn't found anyone to say yes yet. We don't know. Really hoping for the former, because if it's the latter, we're in more trouble than I ever imagined.

Or it could mean that there are some coaches that JH is wanting to talk to that are still on the job, and way too busy right now doing something extremely important and which is demanding all their focus to be distracted by interviewing for another job.

So maybe it ain't the end of the world.. just a guess...

I will be absolutely shocked if someone on the defensive staff isn't coaching in the SB.

To me it seems the most logical reason an announcement hasn't happened. NFL news is also typically not reported until papers are signed, so if the candidate hasn't formally given noticed or signed with UT then it won't come out from any NFL reporters (typically at least).
