With this attitude toward hires, I wonder what the attitude toward media access will be for practice.

Pruitt was already extremely restrictive. It might be even worse now.

You're assuming that there's something official for them to know.

That really is the big question. Do we or do we not have a DC? People are assuming we're just waiting to announce, but it's equally possible JH hasn't found anyone to say yes yet. We don't know. Really hoping for the former, because if it's the latter, we're in more trouble than I ever imagined.

What is the reason for waiting? What benefit does it serve. And if they had it players would have leaked it by now, especially in a divided locker room.

I don't think the hire has been made yet. I think that is kind of obvious at this point. We just don't know the reason why, and it pisses us off.

There are several reasons that you could guess why it hasn't been made yet, and all of them are valid guesses. At this point that is all they are though...guesses.

We might as well get used to it, because DW and JH aren't going to explain why and what they are doing...that is the new UT paradigm.

I don't think for a second that it is being done to "alienate" the fanbase, in my opinion that is a very stupid thought, nobody involved has a damn thing to gain from hurting the fanbase anymore.

What I do believe is that it comes from a desire to do things very professionally and diligently...the "right way", which I very much appreciate after the freaking circus of the last decade+.

I am not going to act like a child and stamp my feet over this. We will know when there is something to know.

This stat is a little misguiding. The Chiefs have large amounts of their salary pumped into Tyrian Matthieu and Chris Jones on defense. The Chiefs LBs are guys who were cut by the Cowboys that are efficient but not outstanding (Damien Wilson and Anthony Hitchens). House was doing a nice job bringing along Chiefs 2nd round pick Willie Gay Jr (Miss. St) up until he was injured and out for the season.

To be fair, you're already acting like a child when you start insulting other posters for having a differing opinion. You get mad and civility immediately gets thrown out the window. I actually think highly of you, but you occasionally break out the temper tantrum and lose your cool.

This hire is gonna be a little risky if it's not Artis. The dude has definitely been puttin' in the work and it appears the players really like him.

I’m an advocate of Artis getting a fair shot at the job with a relatively normal off-season before judgement. That being said, the HC gets to pick his own guy. Very vital choice that affects his watch on the program. You can’t allow the players to pick him for you...that’s how we ended up with Szerszen.

I have read two articles so far stating that good defensive coordinators are not interested in Tennessee based solely on the Louisville def coordinator stating he was going to remain at Louisville....They don’t even have a clue if we offered or what our interest level was.
