Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment as early as Monday

Step one in "moving on" would be for the defeated president to admit he lost. This, not impeachment, is what has created the division.
Absolutely true. I just don’t see what is accomplished by impeaching him though. He’s already made himself a pariah with no chance of winning in 2024. It’s not like impeachment undoes anything. I just think the time is better spent changing what he did than doing something for the sake of history and setting an awful precedent.

In other words...
I mean, he definitely deserves to be kicked out of office. No question about that. But I think the timing of it is just not worth the antagonism it adds to the situation.

Trump and that deep anger turned GA blue.

No. Stacey Abrams crew went door to door and filled in ballots in Fulton an Dekalb for people that probably never voted, at a minimum. Regardless, 45% of Ameica questions the legitimacy. Going to be your problem to bring these people under your procalimed Hoden unity campaign. Got to say it is a hell of a start.

Setting an awful precedent? No chance of winning in ‘24?

What precedent does it set to not hold him accountable?
I also think he’d have a great chance of winning in 4 years. There are a ton of people waiting to say “I told you so” about Biden and he seems to have a special relationship with his party.

Some Senate Republicans see it as a way to bar him from running for office again.

That 45% number is falling quickly now that the perpetrators of the con are saying it's over and they actually have nothing.

An impeachment of a defeated President who has no chance of even running again has absolutely no teeth or accountability to it. It’s political theater.

And some see it as a way to rescue the party from what they see as a spiral further downwards. No more Trumps. No more Cruz' or Hawleys. Get back to core principles about fiscal conservatism. Less ideology, more practicality.

I think they are doomed in that effort. As is their party. Just too much racial resentment and 19th century demagoguery at the party's core to survive in the 21st century.

I have a feeling that percentage you quoted will go down drastically here soon

I think it sends a tremendous message to him and his supporters. Especially if republicans join

Of course you do. But the message they’ll hear is “shut up and let the elites get back to running things”.

Not according to this liberal leaning poll from today:

"75 percent of Republicans feel this way in addition to 13 percent of Democratic voters."

43% of Americans Say Voter Fraud Allegations Raise Questions over Biden Victory - The National Pulse

Your unity message is gonna be on the ash heap of history, no matter waht your personal feeings and the way the media portrays,

I disagree here again. Aren’t the “elites” the ones who get to ignore the law? I think the majority of the country wants to get back to accountability.

Again... of course you disagree because you think these folks are flawed racists in the first place and don’t attempt to understand why they voted Trump in the first place.

I mean the FBI pretty clearly laid it out that there was Russian Interference. I didn't say Trump was involved if that is what you are implying. Just that he benefited from Russian interference, which he clearly did.
Russian interference was a non factor in the results of the 2016 election
