If Marrone wasn't the coach when Donovan McNabb was at Syracuse, then what has he done that bears remembering from his college coaching days? 1998 is the last time I remember anything positive about Syracuse football. And Dino Barbers beat someone a few years ago but I'd have to Google that too. There's nothing exciting about Doug Marrone, maybe his O-line coaching.

Stay off Google for the next head coach

At this point, there is a slew of coaches coming available. Pick the coach you want, get a deal, fire Pruitt and hire new coach ok same day, give the new coach every assistant they want and let’s ride. Don’t care if it is Freeze, Marrone, Chadwell, Napier, Stoops, Herman, whoever. But we need a change and hope for the future.

I thought this too but if we have learned anything with Pruitt it is that the head coach has less to with recruits than the coordinators and position coaches.
On a day to day basis, yes, but Pruitt is ultimately responsible for recruiting. Who they target, who they spend the most time recruiting, etc. He's the ultimate decision-maker.

Yes. I agree. He was a much better recruiter when he was a coordinator. Head coach has limits that others don’t.

He’s no way a sexy home run hire, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be successful here. My goal is to get to being 8-4 as a floor. I think Marrone and the staff he could build ..... could do that sooner rather than later. I would love to see our running game next year with what we have returning and Eric gray.
I’m fine with being underwhelmed with a hire as long as you prove me wrong and win
