I hope he is. The early signing day really screws this all up. I hate it. What is even the point aside from letting the “haves” lock up talent and not have to worry about recruiting during bowl season.

Doug Matthews makes me sick

IF pruitt doesn’t have success he has only himself to blame, but anyone that thinks he won’t be here next year is wasting their time talking about it. The AD has enough money for staff changes.
Several assistant coaches are not developing players. That’s a under statement.
He thinks we have 2 QB’s that can play, Strout and Bailey. I tend to agree. Yes, Strout played against a base defense, but I also saw the team pick up their level of play when he was in the game.
Matthews also said that Pruitt had to decide that if he was going to be a head coach or a game day coach. Trying to do to much as a DC and DL coach.

Shrout played garbage time and now he's suddenly better? Maybe Shrout will be the better QB down the road, but to say Bailey ain't it after that performance is really head scratching lol

Post better. You have no idea what Shrout would have done. I am good with both of their performances given the situation they had when they entered the game.

So...@Kingston Vol. Does the tidbit you heard and dangled in front of everyone last night have anything to do with an investigation of some sort and that possibly being used to negotiate Pruitts buyout down?

I just sense Fulmer is going to give Pruitt another year for a chance to turn things around, because he didn’t get a chance to turn around the program after the 2008 debacle. I hope that I’m wrong though.

I hope this is the case, but if you have been following UT football for the last 15 years and think this is the likely scenario then you are an eternal optimist.

Hasn’t Pruitt already been given that opportunity with both coordinators? You can’t get this many chances

Praying for your son, your family, and you @VolsDoc81TX. I know you said you’re working to keep him close - and others have offered up a few locations - but north of Atlanta, there is a place - No Longer Bound. It’s a year long program that is faith based. If nothing else, there are guys there who could be another resource/counsel for you as you all walk through this.
