Harrison Bailey has a long way to go, but you can see the potential. Shrout and Maurer would be good QB's if they were developed properly, which obviously they are not.
Need almost a rebuild on the D line. No one looks to be able to pressure the QB, and they just look like dancing/spinning slow bears...
Our Secondary is absolutely pathetic and the biggest underachieving group we have. I've never seen multiple opposing WR's be able to just run openly wherever they wanted all night. At one point Trask just jogged out of the pocket, pointed to his WR, and then tossed it with no zip right to him and he was wide open, standing flat-footed...
Our O line performed better against Bama than FL... don't know what is going on there with so much talent, but they just look basic. Great example of a underperforming group. We should be able to do just about whatever we want but instead look porous and got Bailey sacked multiple times.
Guys, we have talent, but it is grossly underperforming and that is COACHING. We have enough talent in the secondary to play smart, disciplined, fundamental defense. BUT, instead we looked like a bunch of confused idiots blowing coverage and not knowing what to do. At least 4 times last night there were trips right and we had one DB line up across from them and anyone else was 15 yds away. What do you expect the outcome to be?
There's no defending Pruitt at this point, he has to be removed or we are going to waste another cycle of talent at UT.... never mind recruiting is only going to get worse with absolutely nothing to sell.
If Pruitt is here next year, please be prepared for another season watching us get close, but not finish games and get beat by lesser talented teams. Bailey/Salter will be a better situation, but apart from that, I just don't see where there is going to be a jump based on him already being here 3 seasons.
And I don't even know what to say about our LB's apart from Toot. Crouch and Banks try and give it their all, but they are just not SEC caliper LB's... I've said before that at this point, Crouch just needs to move to RB and see if he can boost his stock to get drafted and play for a few years in a FB position or power back...
