Harrison Bailey has a long way to go, but you can see the potential. Shrout and Maurer would be good QB's if they were developed properly, which obviously they are not.

Need almost a rebuild on the D line. No one looks to be able to pressure the QB, and they just look like dancing/spinning slow bears...

Our Secondary is absolutely pathetic and the biggest underachieving group we have. I've never seen multiple opposing WR's be able to just run openly wherever they wanted all night. At one point Trask just jogged out of the pocket, pointed to his WR, and then tossed it with no zip right to him and he was wide open, standing flat-footed...

Our O line performed better against Bama than FL... don't know what is going on there with so much talent, but they just look basic. Great example of a underperforming group. We should be able to do just about whatever we want but instead look porous and got Bailey sacked multiple times.

Guys, we have talent, but it is grossly underperforming and that is COACHING. We have enough talent in the secondary to play smart, disciplined, fundamental defense. BUT, instead we looked like a bunch of confused idiots blowing coverage and not knowing what to do. At least 4 times last night there were trips right and we had one DB line up across from them and anyone else was 15 yds away. What do you expect the outcome to be?

There's no defending Pruitt at this point, he has to be removed or we are going to waste another cycle of talent at UT.... never mind recruiting is only going to get worse with absolutely nothing to sell.

If Pruitt is here next year, please be prepared for another season watching us get close, but not finish games and get beat by lesser talented teams. Bailey/Salter will be a better situation, but apart from that, I just don't see where there is going to be a jump based on him already being here 3 seasons.

And I don't even know what to say about our LB's apart from Toot. Crouch and Banks try and give it their all, but they are just not SEC caliper LB's... I've said before that at this point, Crouch just needs to move to RB and see if he can boost his stock to get drafted and play for a few years in a FB position or power back...

I’m willing to give Fulmer another chance to hire a coach considering the circumstances he took over when he had to step in. I don’t believe the guy is to blame here at all. However, if he keeps him, some blame needs to be thrown his way. I think Fulmer is the right guy for our university right now. He just needs to have an actual normal hiring process for our football coach
Freeze is his opportunity at redemption

The 95 yard TD drive, we opened it up. Swing passes, screens, etc. We didn’t run on first and second down. We marched right down the field and scored. Then second half comes and it’s back to run run pass. I don’t understand. I firmly believe Pruitt told Chaney to slow the game down and help his defense. That’s all he cares about. Then we couldn’t do anything on offense. It gave Pruitt a chance to bench Bailey and then let Shrout come in once Mullen called the dogs off. I don’t think Pruitt wants to be here. He would love to leave and be the DC at Bama again.

I agree --- didn't make any sense how we were rolling, and then just QUIT, and went back to run run pass on third.

I am at the point I really don't want any coach we have now promoted just fired. I haven't seen any development anywhere on this football team. Clean house and start over with a new HC.

Hire the HC, then let him clean house if he wants. The next HC needs to be able to pick his own assistants at every spot.

I'll say the recent COVID stuff hurt the O-Line, they mentioned Kennedy being out, but Wanya also didn't play a snap. I think Cooper has a bright future, but he's not strong enough to center the OL just yet. When they switched to Carvin we had success, Cade hasn't played as consistently well as I had hoped he would.

Ultimately though OL play is bad because Friend is bad. And the musical chairs BS has got to go, no way Fulmer sees that and likes it. Only reason OL should see subs in game is for injuries, why we've done it for different plays in the same series almost every game is just baffling.

Maurer wants to leave, I don't believe the transfer talk was just rumor. Pruitt needs to let the kid leave, don't yo-yo kids with promises. They want to leave ya thank 'em for their time and offer them the best of luck.

As much as I hate agreeing with a Gator, Chris Doering nailed it last night on SEC final. Said “Tennessee’s offensive scheme will never be able to keep up in the current model of football. It’s great to establish the run but if you can’t score in bunches, you’re not going to compete these days”. I’m Paraphrasing there of course but He’s echoing what we all see.

Agreed. Our defense leaves a lot to be desired but the truth is, defense is kind of dead in college football. It’s a scoring/arena football league anymore.

That’s a concern I have with this staff - they still want to put their best athletes on defense.

F that.

Find a QB, put your best athletes on offense, and light up the scoreboard.

This is one of the main reasons that I want our next HC to be an offensive guy. Bonus points if he is a QB guru.

I can’t shake the feeling that Fulmer does, indeed, fire Pruitt after ESD and then takes over as coach until a search can be properly done. Fulmer can sweet talk recruits, salvage what’s left of the class and take his time getting “right guy” this time. He apparently almost did it last time. May take the chance this go.

I also like conspiracies so there’s that.
Please no, that would be like driving a stake into the heart of this program

They did not quit trying, but on offense they tried to run the ball more and work on running game. We stopped them two times in a row in 3rd quarter. They could have passed on every down and scored 50 plus. They scored to start 3rd and scored to start 4th. Mullen knew that was all the points he needed. He wants Pruitt at UT forever.
They could have scored fifty if they wanted. They called off the dogs. He knew we had no shot at beating them. When they scored in 1:30 to start the third I knew they could score at will or whenever they wanted.

Wanna played some as a TE. He was 23.

This program is dead and the AD knows it.

They will sell us false hope only to try to make ticket sales, but they all know deep down it's a dumpster fire. The fan base deserves better. The players deserve better.
That AD’s blood is boiling right now I bet.
Don’t count Fulmer out just yet
The dude loves this school more than any of us combined

Agree on Pruitt out. I thought the team played hard pretty much all night. Execution was not good, especially on the OL and the gameplan was pathetic.

That’s fair and you can prob make a case both ways with individual performances. Some examples of lack of effort that come to mind for me:

OL looking extremely lethargic early in the game.

5 breaking off routes and not running through/fighting for the ball. Some of it could be due to mistakes by Bailey as we won’t know the playcall but 5 looked off.

Safeties not coming down the channel in tackling support for outside screen game.

88 running as a lead blocker on the reverse and not even touching a Florida defender.

You can point to poor execution but I also saw a lot of low effort plays. It didn’t appear like several of the players cared if we were playing Florida or Georgia State.

Agreed, Pruitt wants an offense that protects the defense in order to retain his defensive guru status. It has back fired

Or Fulmer could be doing his homework behind the scenes now, lining up a replacement. Fire Pruitt once that’s all lined up and the new coach can hit the ground running in recruiting.

JT looked good with that torn labrum. Maurer looked good on a pulled hammy and JG looked fully recovered from covid. Thats good news right?
Wish that entire program would burn. Its full of lying losers. AM was pissed Pruitt lied about all the injuries so he dropped a freeze warning during live tv.
