I am being hard and critical of HB - I was hoping for much more.

I was hoping for hope.

I wanted to see a future stud SEC QB.

Did any of you see that?

I sure didn’t.

And it makes me sad.

I wasn't blown away either. But he walked into a tough situation. Made some good throws. Made some bad ones. No clue if hes the answer. Kinda hoping Salter comes in and wins this job next year honestly.

But Bailey could take a huge jump with a full off-season and possibly a new coach. Hard to write the book on him just yet imo. There's a chance he's our guy for awhile.

I also think we just kinda suck as a team and that probably played a big part into his performance.

Sometimes we set expectations on people that are impossible for them to meet. We set the bar so high and if they don't meet it then they have failed in our eyes. Its your expectations. I saw a young man with a great arm, made some clutch passes on third down, missed some long throws that can be easily corrected and a pocket presence I haven't seen in 4 years of JG being here.

I’m out on Pruitt but Aaron Murray has to be the worst color analyst I’ve ever listened to. I would rather listen to Beth Mullins and some no namer on ESPN than the CBS D crew we had today. Even my friends who are UGA grads agreed how terrible it was.

Right and there is a difference in him being able to understand and dissect it and getting his players to actually just cover their dang zones and play man to man properly.

Yup. His whole job is to teach them what he sees. Obviously he isn't very good at doing that.

When I listen to him dissect plays he understands everything that is going to happen before it does. It’s unreal. He just hasn’t found a way to get that knowledge to transfer yet. He will.

Lol! Ok.... keep spinning that. I bet you speak to the coaches. They keep trying to tell everyone the same thing. Mac Jones look good? He didn’t before this year. Johnny Manziel? He redshirted his first year and many said he was terrible. I know plenty of VFL’s who have watched him play and practice here, they all said he was our best QB. I’ll take their word over this middle school staff. Same ones called Ansley And Friend being a** when everyone was so excited for them.

Mac Jones was solid last year. Had 14 TDs to 3 INTs and 69% completion.

Ryan Tannehill was the QB in Manziel’s true freshman year and threw for almost 3800 yards. Sometimes, you guys try too hard to make your points.

Just one man’s opinion and SBVol is pretty respected around here, and it doesn’t mean that I necessarily agree.

I’ll be shocked if any great talent succeeds at Tennessee under this staff. Treys value going down. Cade down. Bryce down. Plenty of other talented players who’s stock would be much higher being developed by a different staff. Eric Gray at Clemson would be unreal.

Well lets see, if Pruitt is a genius and gets the knowledge to transfer, that must mean he's successful. So either 1 he isn't a genius or 2 he doesn't know how to coach what he sees. Reasoning must be hard for you.

I think he is good in certain areas - player development is a major flaw.

Not trying to be snarky, but player development is kinda the key piece for coaching I think. JP may be a very successful coach somewhere but I feel like UT is where he’ll get experience while we get the L’s. It’s depressing.

Sorry but Bailey isn’t the answer.

Shrout looked really good. I understand why the coaches were high on him early on. Why not play him more during the year.

Coaching is really poor.

Just don't get the anti Bailey viewpoint. Shrout would of pissed down his leg if he had started the game. Bailey was calm and collected all game and made some big plays. Is it his fault the oline let people just run right by them and sack him? Lol. Okay he missed a couple deep balls, but it's gonna happen with a freshman. Shrout played garbage time and now he's suddenly better? Maybe Shrout will be the better QB down the road, but to say Bailey ain't it after that performance is really head scratching lol
