Love my Vols but tired of hearing wait till next year, we are a young team..etc..
With a really good QB, we're 5-2I'll just repeat what I said in numerous arguments with k-town and Pulaski before the season. UT needs MUCH better QB play than they got from anyone in the 3 years prior to this year... and I really don't care who it comes from. I didn't think it would come from JG at that point. I think most people are convinced it won't come from him now.
I believe you are right. There are no good reasons this roster doesn't beat Ark and UK. UT's D held UK to under 300 total yards... and still lost by 27 points. But they were able to key on the run because the pass game was totally ineffective with JG. No way 24 points by Ark should beat UT. But again, a "decent" day running the ball was paired with a terrible day in the passing game from JG and everyone else. With a really good QB, we're 5-2
Please don’t pretend to not realize the slow burn that has been Tennessee football for the last 16 years. The fact that we haven’t just become a complete afterthought amongst our fans is remarkable. There is an entire generation of fans that have never consciously witnessed us play for an SEC title. Why do so many fans have to be fair weather fans and only support a program when they are winning? I think if you are a VFL you will support this team and program no matter how many games they win.
You thought what JG had done and was capable of doing was "good enough". Our standards are quite different. I don't think it is acceptable for a HC to stick with a strategy that has failed. You apparently think losing is OK if the "strategy" is to get from a failed RS Sr to a true Fr who may or may not live up to his hype.Once again, I don't mind folks upset and even complaining a bit, hell I'm upset and complain a bunch. Anything done in excess often goes bad and this forum is whining, crying and moaning in excess. As for my standard it's no different than yours on here, I pick and choose when I want to get involved.
Then f'ing just quit em. Today's society of panty waste loves to be a quitter so just quit them. You acting like your emotional investment means something, lol.
Enlighten me please! I thought this was a message board where fans share grips and grievances while having some fun as well. I want to see TN competitive again and unfortunately, CJP just isn't a very good HC. He is probably a fine guy but his team don't play hard because they aren't held to a standard that requires it. Playing for TN should be a privilege for these young men and they will rise to the level of performance demanded of them by the HC.Get your head out of the sand. Maybe you will see what is really going on.
You will literally accept anything just because, you don't ****ing care about the state of the program but only your feeling of moral superiority that you have for some stupid reason. We actually care that we suck and want to see something done about it.Then f'ing just quit em. Today's society of panty waste loves to be a quitter so just quit them. You acting like your emotional investment means something, lol.
Said it better than I ever could Hoss. Agree 100%Good Grief. I assume you're trolling, but just in case:
A lot of us are VFLs, but the complete and utter incompetence of the admin over the last 15 years has robbed the sport of the fun. And in the end, it's gotta be fun to be a fan, at least a majority of the time. You can have fun even in a loss, if its a good game and your team is playing well.
Tennessee has become a drudgery to watch, especially with Slingblade Skoalcan and his infatuation with JG. We all have jobs, responsibilities, a lot of things we HAVE to do. Tennessee football isn't a HAVE to do, it should be a WANT to do.
So, don't play the "I'm a Better Fan" BS card. No one buys that here. We are all fans, its just that most of us demand that our team and admin care at least as much as we do. Ideally, they care much more. That hasn't seemed to be the case for quite awhile.
